Steve Atherton aka the NRG God

His journey in dance music started in 1993, in year 10 a school friend brought in a tune from the grid called swamp thing. When asked what it was like he asked whether he had anything harder in which he replied with a Dutch Gabber album called Ruffneck volume 3 and hence the journey into hard dance music started. Throughout the years of 1993-1995 he was spinning at school discos and private parties on direct drive tables anything from acid techno through to dutch gabber and in 1998 went to his first rave where the legendary Sydney DJ peewee ferris played.

In the year 2002 he joined the military and got posted to Melbourne in which hard kandy was his home club and attended various events playing private gigs and parties around the world with the navy.
In the year 2003 he went to Sydney and played at the icebox and other private raves. Freeform took the centre stage for close to 14 years in which he played the legendary lets get stupid doofs and raves in Sydney where he played as an inter state dj. 2017 came around and discovered his love of hard NRG again and went to the legendary drop bear events hosted by dramatik and asylum (mish cheeky b and leeroy) in which he seen the amazing random but raw and grady g.
His influences include Narc, Gem stone, Matt R, Dramatik, Random but raw, dr tre disturbed Phatt beats, serenity and grady g. His sound is considered to be the Adelaide sound which is considerd to be hard filthy and hoovery.
2021 is shaping up to be one hectic year with a trip to UK and USA proposed and various gigs around Australia.

DJ Luna LaFey aka... Err... Luna LaFey

Age 32, from Newcastle, North East England.

I started producing before I ever tried mixing. I produced my first full track, I named Dance Machine, in around 1996. I went on holiday shortly after (in England) and took my track on a CD I'd burned. I handed it to the DJ in the club, named Richie, I remember it vividly. Asked him to play my track. He babied me at first "Aww you made music, sure I'll play it." And so he did. The dance floor was filled quickly. When my track ended, he spoke to me "Luna, don't ever give up music. I expect to see you in clubs when you're older." And so, Richie became the first DJ to ever play my music, and the first DJ to see some potential in me and spur me on.

I began mixing in 1998 on some belt drive turntables and shortly after got my first set of Technics 1210s. Within a year I had 4 x 1210s and had built a studio in the spare bedroom, where I spent most of my days and nights producing and mixing.

I loved music from the moment I was born apparently, it's how I communicate and connect with others. I often say, you can tell a lot about how I'm feeling by the tracks I play or send to people I'm close with. If there are words I can't say, I'll say it with music.

My idol from day one was always Yoji Biomehanika, closely followed by Gaz West aka Dark by Design. I'd buy every record I could get my hands on from them. I also loved mixing Guyver's tracks. Lab4 will always hold a special place in my heart too.

I'm mostly known for playing Hard House and NRG but I often throw in some Hard Dance or Hard Trance. I love blending genres, if I can, when it works haha! I also mix hardcore, bounce, makina, trap, industrial, EDM and many more genres. Put it in front of me and I'll have a whack at mixing it.

As a teen I was offered my first residency abroad in Italy, but turned it down as my Mother was in hospital very ill at the time, and it was just me and her at home. She still hasn't forgiven me for turning that down 😂, but she's my Mam and there's no way I'd leave her alone in that state.

At age 19 and 21 (2008 & 2010) my two little girls passed away (18 months between their passing) and music is something I've clung to with everything I have because it's what drags me through the hard times, kicking and screaming all the way, but it got me here. Every day, music, it keeps me focused and on a good path.

Here I am, just turned 32 a few days ago, and I'm still banging out the tunes, living and breathing music. I'm taking the opportunities that are offered to me, graciously, and doing my best to throw out some decent mixes.

I was a vinyl only DJ for over 20 years and I've finally been able to take a chance on mixing with CDJ's. So... As I write this, I'm very new to CDJ's still, but I'm definitely well on my way with the beasts.

Dave Grabowski aka BOSKI

boski started djing when he was 13.

His mate bought a set of decks, he had a go and was instantly hooked.

From that day he managed to get his own set and was mixing vinyl for 11 years up til he was 24 then gave it all up to start a family.

Boski always thought of himself as just another "Bedroom dj" as he had never played to a crowd before but after 11 years and 3 children, he decided enough was enough and couldn't hold back any longer, so he bit the bullet and got himself back in the game...

With influences like Lisa Lashes, BK, Tidy Boys, Guyer and Lab 4 he's started to make his way into the scene with his stomping nrg sets!

Playing for brands around the world on social media and producing his own material. This Dj is one not to be missed!
