To Chic, Ash, Alyce and Izzy behind the scenes, you guys did a great job under in high winds strong enough to knock around the cables, tables etc.

Don’t forget that this Wednesday coming is the illustrious Bengalla Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League Presentation Night. The night of celebration for the year that has been, and also the Awards for individual achievements.
The Rookie of The Year is a much talked about trophy all season, and with many a talented players this year vying for the opportunity, there unfortunately can only be one winner.
Then there’s the big one! And this year the team at Footy Fever are Proud to partner with Group 21 for The Footy Fever Player of the Year Award. With so much talent on field this year, it will be interesting and an honour to win it. Just thinking about the quality players the competition has attracted this year, who do you think will be in the running?

On Saturday we hosted the Group 21 minor semi finals.
It was a great day with a great crowd.
Aberdeen defeating Muswellbrook 18-16 in LLT.
Our 18’s after defeating Greta Branxton 3 times during the season just wasn’t their day. It was a hard fought game and disappointing end to the young devils season. Lots of positives to take from the season and plenty of young talent to go around next season.
Our Reserve grade was dominant as the scoreboard suggests able to score 7 tries and progress to the Preliminary Final against Aberdeen this Sunday @ Greta Central.
Our First Grade took ascendency early leading 16-0 after as many minutes. Some back to back mistakes in our own end allowing Aberdeen back to 16-10 before we hit back with 2 tries before halftime to lead 26-10. It was all 1 way traffic in the second half scoring 5 more tries to take the tally to 10 for the game. Special mention has to go to scoring 4 tries in such a big game.
We now face Greta Branxton in the Preliminary Final at Greta Central Sunday 1st September.

18-16 the Aberdeen Ladies League Tag side progressed to next weeks Preliminary Final for a shot at getting into the Big Dance.
A thrilling game locked up at 16 all and a penalty goal from right in front on full time.

Congrats to Scone on their Grand Final victories in all 4 Grades today.

A massive thank you on behalf of all the team at Footy Fever for the support for the 2022 season.

To all the Clubs, volunteers, fans etc this year take a bow! It’s been a long season, but without you all it wouldn’t be possible. It’s days like today and the weeks gone by that drive that young child on the sideline to aspire to be out there and active.

Only one team can win the competition, but collaboratively you’ve all been aspirational. Kick back. Have a few beverages and enjoy the year that was!
