This is a super impressive demonstration at the Museum of Science in Boston. The museum houses this 3 story tall VDG generator that was actually built by Robert Van der Graaf in the 1930’s. The presenter is explaining why your car is the safest place to be in a lightning storm. A Van de Graaff generator is an electrostatic generator which uses a moving belt to accumulate electric charge on a hollow metal globe on the top of an insulated column, creating very high electric potentials. It produces very high voltage direct current (DC) electricity at low current levels. It was invented by American physicist Robert J. Van de Graaff in 1929.[1]

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s unannounced visit Saturday to Kyiv. She becomes the most senior United States official to meet with President Zelensky since the invaders attacked Ukraine.
The House on Thursday passed legislation that would allow Biden to use a World War II-era law, known as the Lend-Lease Act, to swiftly supply weapons to Ukraine on loan. That law was originally created in 1941 to help the United Kingdom and Soviet Union fighting Nazi Germany #stopthewar #standwithukraine #nancypelosi #saveukraine #славаукраїні #bucha 🇺🇦

I enjoyed this marvelous, astounding, and a dozen other silver dollar word type adjectives today. The figures are all larger than life size to give you an idea of scale.. This massive mural by Raoul Dufy depicts the history of electricity. ... This incredible mural consists of 250 panels (200 x 120 cm) that cover a 600 m2 U-shaped wall. It took Raoul Dufy 10 months to complete. The mural was donated to and installed in the Paris Museum of Modern Art by Électricité de France in 1964.
