Last night our small town of Downtown Concord experienced a senseless act of violence right before what was supposed to be a joyful Christmas tree lighting. My heart is heavy for our community, for the families affected, and for everyone who was there to celebrate the start of the holiday season.
But I need to say this clearly: this moment does not define us.
Concord is a resilient, loving, tight-knit community. We have walked through so much together these last few years. We’ve rebuilt, we’ve supported one another, and we’ve shown time and time again that light always outshines darkness here.
As we enter this holiday season, we remain committed to making Downtown Concord a safe, welcoming, joy-filled place for families, friends, and neighbors to gather. Our small businesses need you. Your presence, your support, and your love matter more than ever right now.
Let’s come together and show what it truly means to rise above tragedy and stand united. Let’s continue to uplift the heart of our town.
❤️ The Palmetto Market is open today until 6 PM, and we’d love to see you downtown. Your support means everything.
