Love my vase with my little man’s footprint…filling it with all the blooms from my garden makes me happy! My tuberose are blooming so the garden smells magical!

You can see (and smell) the difference! Don’t get me wrong, I love to buy Trader Joe’s flowers when locally grown flowers are not in season but I have never had them while mine were blooming to really compare!! The Trader Joe’s lilies (on the left) were purchased Sunday while my lilies were cut fresh on Saturday! If you have ever wondered if locally grown flowers are worth the extra cost…here’s your answer! Plus you make a flower farmer very happy!!

That’s a wrap on the 2023 ASCFG Conference! My head is spinning with all the info that we received over the last few days! We met some pretty incredible people too! So thankful Kenneth and I were able to attend! Can’t wait for the next one!

Day two was filled with a ton of education on finances/economics, value-added products, new flowers, dried florals, resilience and a celebration of the retiring ASCFG executive director! It was a great day! Bring on day three!

The first day of ASCFG Conference was a blast filled with lots of beautiful flowers and growers that I have followed and learned so much from on social media! Thank you, for opening your farm for us to tour! Julio did not disappoint with his design of a beautiful fall arch! Meeting Dave Dowling was also a highlight! Can’t wait for day 2!

🧡Dahlia of the Day🧡 This beauty is hard to get a picture of the actual color and it’s true beauty! It is orange with red highlights on the edges of the petals! Some may not like the open center but I actually love it! This color is perfect for fall!
