In the mid 1970's David Bowie took his drug addled brain to France, then Germany to detox and work on what would become known as the Berlin trilogy (Low, Heroes and Lodger).
I am featuring the first of these albums from 1977: Low.
Produced by Tony Visconti, and with musical collaborator Brian Eno.

Friday 01 March, 8pm - midnight NZ time. I am continuing my foray into indie rock featuring one of the first alternative rock bands to achieve mainstream success; Jane's Addiction. Released in 1990, the third and last album of their formative years: Ritual De Lo Habitual. Their farewell tour in 1991 launched the Lollapalooza music festival. Friday 19th January, 8pm – midnight NZ time.
I will be joined by a guest co-host DJ Jono to explore the 3rd studio album by US indie rock band Pavement.
Wowee Zowee was released in 1995 and drew mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, but since its release has often been regarded as a fan favourite.
Frontman Stephen Malkmus says it is the last “classic Pavement record”.
We will be curating the set with other music of a similar ilk, and have some fun during the long-form 4 hr show.

I have chosen their 1998 collaboration with UK music producer Howie B - Drum & Bass Strip To The Bone. It's an instrumental album I have loved since it's release. Come join me...
I enjoyed my last live-stream exploring the "Bristol sound" and Tricky (link in comments), and want to follow it with the 1995 Mercury Music winning: Dummy. The debut release from Portishead. Musically cinematic and atmospheric. Friday 22nd Sept from 8pm - midnight.

Friday 11th August, from 8pm - midnight NZ time, I'll be doing a Pixies (Part 2) live-stream. I had so much fun on the last one, and thematically I dug it, so let's go another round. The LP is one I bought recently on vinyl: "Doggerel" from 2022. Described by Joey Santiago as Doolittle 2.0, I think it will flow on quite nicely from Part 1 a couple of months ago. Come join me. Planning my next live-stream for Fri 26th May, 8pm - midnight NZ time. A mix of music, and including the featured album of Doolittle by The Pixies. The second full length LP from 1989, heralding in a new producer Gil Norton, who I think brought a slightly post-punk feel to the mix. There will be indie rock, classic rock, sludgy rock, and other styles thrown in. Come join me :-)

This Friday 17th Feb, from 8pm - midnight I will live-stream music, not water. At 9pm featuring the English duo Fila Brazillia with their 9th album: Jump Leads. An electronica themed show, but with elements of dub and nu-disco, etc...and a little of everything as always. Join in the fun.

Friday 09th Dec at 8pm - midnight NZ time I will go on air, for my occasional (vinyl and non-vinyl) live-stream. At 9pm I will play some songs alongside this 2003 featured album. The eleventh and final studio offering from electronic pioneers Kraftwerk. Expect krautrock blending with electronica.
