My favorite time of year— we’re in the thick of the pacnw summer celebrations! I love getting to celebrate with all the couples I’ve planned with over the past year. The petting zoo was amazing but there were so many epic moments at this celebration. Another favorite moment was when the bride and groom led the forest walk from the ceremony to the reception. Deru Market carrot cake. So good. I once had a couple go by Deru Market for a cake tasting. In a follow up call I asked the groom how it went and he said, “Actually I’m mad. I am loving this classic black and white portrait of David and Aidan on their wedding day. Our day of coordinator Thera had such a wonderful time celebrating with them at the autumn celebration at The Edgewater Hotel. We have been lucky to coordinate many events at the Edgewater over the years and it's one of our favorite northwest venues.

A few days I received an unexpected PayPal alert and discovered this message from one of my very first brides. It made my day and reminded me how lucky I’ve been to have celebrated with so many amazing couples over the years. A huge shout out to the couples who booked with MGE when our only website was a blogspot account (way back in 2010), or who took a chance with us back when we had 1 Yelp review instead of 60+. I appreciate you more than you know, and I’m so happy to have gotten to be a part of your celebrations. This one in particular included a diy caramel apple stand, one of the sweetest pups of all time, a rubber chicken, and an amazingly kind and thoughtful couple. Xo
