Today marks exactly 2 years since I went to the Create & Cultivate event 💕 Little did I know this would be the last big event I got to attend right before COVID hit ⚠️

This event changed my life in the best way possible. It was a day filled with empowering, strong woman💪 I learned so much, met so many people and continue to implement things I’ve learned into my everyday life.

Sometimes our life changes course for better or for worse, but it’s how you perceive the situations and overcome them which makes you the stand out from the rest 🦄

There’s a wedding we are doing this weekend and I started reflecting on all the proposals we’ve done over the years and came across these pictures. I love, love (as cheesy as that sounds) 💕 and I swear proposals never get hold. Seeing their soon to be fiancé’s reaction is the best part!

I put together this mood board for a wedding client. The couple wanted to incorporate black and dusty rose 🖤🌹

I love creating mood boards. I'm a visual person, so when I put these together it helps me get a visual of the theme and gain more inspiration for the design. Who else likes mood boards? 🙋‍♀️

On I took time to listen and learn and came to realize that I was not as well informed about the racial injustices towards black people as I thought I was. Now that I have taken that time, I don’t want to be silent, I want to push forward and figure out ways I can help the black community rise above these injustices.

Moving forward, I’m going to make it a point to make sure when I’m organizing an event my vendors are diverse. I know this is only a small step towards helping the black community, but I’m going to continue to keep learning and helping anyway I can.

All of these black business owners are doing amazing work and deserve to be recognized. I know they are going to inspire you like they did me.

How have you been celebrating your milestones? We have been adjusting our services to cater to our client’s needs.... so we now offer all kinds of virtual services! 👩‍💻 Events, birthdays, weddings, baby showers etc. ⠀
⠀
We also started offering where couples that originally had their wedding planned for this year, but had to reschedule to next year, but still wanted to get married on their original wedding date they have a mini ceremony aka “minimony” on their original date and have the reception next year once restrictions have been lowered 🙏🏻. We help plan all logistics; flowers, officiant, livestream (if wanted), photographer, etc. ⠀

Events have now gone online and we can help with that too! We can setup the online platform being used for the event, respond to all attendees, manage speakers/headliners, help with any technical issues that occur and make sure your virtual event runs as smoothly as possible. ⠀
