It’s that time of year again where we give back to our communities.
Last year, Ellie took it upon herself to fill a need that she saw. It was so successful, that we decided to make it an annual event!
So, we are selling flower bouquets for our usual $25 and using proceeds from all sales to buy snacks for children in need at local elementary schools!! (Message, comment or visit us online to order).
You can also donate directly to this cause using the link below!!
One more thing! All online sales will also contribute to this effort. 🤩 So, now matter how you choose to shop with us, we will be giving back!
Bouquets can be picked up on Saturday mornings at the farm or in Hernando on the square. We can also deliver! If you need a bouquet or arrangement on a different day, please message or email us so that we can make it happen for you!

Guess what time of year it is?! Flowers for Friends time!! Last year Ellie started this fundraiser when she saw a need in her community and she immediately took action to do something about it. It was such a success that we decided to make it an annual event!
So, we are selling flower bouquets for the small price of $25!! Proceeds from every purchase will go towards buying snacks for elementary school kids who don’t have any of their own.
You can comment or message to order your bouquet! You can also go to our website and place an order as all online sells will also go towards helping us help others.
We were serious when we choose our motto to Heal hearts, minds, and the environment through flowers!!

You can pick up your flowers on Saturday morning from the farm, from the farmers market in Hernando on Saturday, or we can deliver. Just ask us how!

Here’s some exciting information about Ashley and what she is doing in Mississippi agriculture: 🌻🌷🌱

Fields for Ellie Flower & Farm Company is a cut flower farm and seed company established by Ashley and her young daughter, Eleanor. Together the two have been learning, growing, experimenting, and teaching since they moved back to Mississippi in 2020.

Ashley has a degree in cellular and molecular biology in which she focused on medical botany. She has a second degree close behind in applied ethics and is certified in crop breeding and genetics. Her professional career as an executive director for USDA’s Farm Service Agency was combined with her education and passion for beauty, art, community, and the environment to establish a working cut flower farm in North MS.

The farm currently specializes in cut flower production, garden and photography design, floral design, floral preservation, educational experiences, public speaking, and serves as a local source for seeds, bulbs, corms, and tubers.

Ashley and Eleanor are on a mission to bring people back to nature, strengthen the ties between people in their communities and in all things uphold their motto to heal hearts, minds and the environment through flowers.

Last week we finally caught some good rain after a long, hot, drought of a summer. Mix that in with the cooler temperatures and the flowers have begun to explode all over the farm! I’m so excited to see them all again.
We will also be seeing everyone again as we will be back at the markets, filling homecoming orders, and making deliveries to keep your homes looking bright and beautiful!

So many breathtaking, long stem roses this morning!!
Speaking of roses, now is a great time to start planting out your perennials, shrubs, and trees. I’ve been working on planting out a new perennial garden just for myself and I’m loving it!
