Mina & Taylor's May wedding has me dreaming of Spring.
In addition to the planning and coordinating, I designed the over all theme of the wedding including all decor items from table linens to table numbers.
We went through A LOT of lemons and limes that day 🍋

This shoot lives close to my heart. I have so much gratitude for everyone that was part of this special collab. We executed this shoot in the middle of the pandemic, jumped through hoops to get it done and the result was magic.
The following was written by Amelia from Stolen Hearts Bridal, she captured the essence of our shoot perfectly:
"This editorial shoot showcases a "Bride In Bloom" - capturing a soft and authentic bridal look that cultivates spring; a fresh start. Paired with playful and colourful decor, the aesthetic is one of understated modernism, calling to those smaller intimate ceremonies that are taking the lead in these unknown times. The images convey a sense of simplistic elegance married with a playful, bright, and fresh bridal look.The solo bride is significant in capturing the strong and passionate woman - the one who isn't afraid to stand on her own. Overall the shoot symbolizes the uniqueness of the wedding world over the last year, and how they have switched from grandeur to intimate."

The grooms wanted rustic Italian. I designed everything from decor to custom cocktails and a four course Italian menu with wine pairings. Guests were treated to a sprawling dessert table of Italian cookies and given mini bottles of champagne and Limoncello. Set against the backdrop of a beautiful modern art gallery, this wedding was un sogno ispirato all'Italia!

Throwback...
When I first started my company in 2018 it was called Forward Events + Design. I had a blog with tons of tips and info on planning events. I also did a series of posts called "Love To Love You" where I interviewed couples and asked them to tell me the story of how they first met. I really enjoyed listening to their stories.
I kinda miss it.

Running Day of Creative for nearly 5 years has been a journey!
For those of you who don't know who I am, I'd love to finally introduce myself because I rarely talk about myself on here. My name is Anna, I own and operate Day of Creative, an event planning company focused on creative event design and social engagements.
A few things...
1. I've been in the event industry for over 15 years and have planned and executed events globally.
2. I'm originally from Toronto and moved to Hamilton in 2018 to start my company.
3. This year I decided to completely change my brand and company mission. I'm really happy I did (more on that to come).
4. Many of you probably don't know who I am or what I do and that's because I am VERY camera and social media shy (this picture is an oldie but a goodie taken by Oh Sierra Creative). I plan on changing that...get ready to see more of me and what I do in 2024.
5. In 2016 I literally got sick from stress and decided to change a lot of things in my life that just weren't working for me.
6. I run an event series called Fu**up Nights Hamilton where I ask speakers to share professional failure in the hopes of normalizing the fact that WE ALL FU**UP.
7. I love to get creative with my clients and believe that the planning process of any event should be just as fun as the event.
2023 was interesting. 2024 seems clearer, I'm excited for what is to come ✨
