Hey rockstars! Happy Monday! I hope your week goes awesomely! Today we have our first ever story from Stephanie Shoal about one of her concert experiences. Have your own story? Feel free to submit it at [email protected] to be featured! 🎸

NAME OF EVENT: Panic! At The Disco

DATE/LOCATION/VENUE: August 5, 2014, March 2, 2017, July 24, 2018/ New York City /Madison Square Garden

SOMETHING YOU LIKED: MSG is one of my favorite venues to see a concert. I have seen Panic! At The Disco here on 3 occasions and I was accommodated all 3 times. I love how this venue has a disabled services department that you can call directly for accessible tickets based on what your needs are. This venue also offers Wheelchair Accessible Front Row seating on the floor (which I was fortunate enough to have twice for Panic). They also have a separate entrance for people with disabilities that can help get you in faster and smoother; then waiting in line with the regular crowd. This venue also has a smaller arena downstairs and when their general admission pit did not have an accessible area, security escorted my friend and I to the front row where we could see perfectly and safely.

SOMETHING YOU DIDN’T LIKE: Waiting for an elevator. I have waited almost 25-30 minutes for an elevator at the end of the night.

WHAT YOU’D LIKE TO SEE CHANGE IN THE FUTURE: I would love not to wait so long to exit the venue at the end of a show. I'd also like to see some of their counters lowered for people in chairs. ex: concession stands, merch stands.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Front Row Accessible! I’m SUPER excited to announce my new project called FRONT ROW ACCESSIBLE! It is a (soon-to-be) nonprofit initiative geared towards advocating for equity and accessibility in entertainment venues! As an avid concert goer, I love seeing shows, but more often than not there just isn’t accessible or adequate seating accommodations for those with disabilities. And I’d love to change that! So join me on my journey towards inclusivity in entertainment venues so that we can ALL live life in the front row! For now we will be based in South Florida, but as our message grows and grows, I hope we can expand our efforts to other states!
