With CK & Co. Events as your wedding planner, my day includes setting up decor, ensuring no dress touches the ground when moving, pinning boutonnieres, grabbing anything the couple needs, cueing the ceremony, ensuring photos are being completed, vendor management, monitoring weather, cueing speeches and dances, moving decor, ensuring florals and decor is perfect, managing my team, ensuring catering is being executed, managing the timeline, assisting with wardrobe malfunctions, crossing a whole lot off of lists and a thousand other items that happen on the wedding day to ensure you can enjoy all of your hard work!

Ps - that doesn't even include the countless hours of prep beforehand.

Being a wedding planner is more than just picking out pretty flowers and colours. There is literal sweat, blood and tears that go into every wedding!

Here's a little recap of our busiest weekend in September with three back to back weddings. Although it was a busy one, I wouldn't change anything! It may be hard work and long days doing my job, but I'm so incredibly fulfilled at the end of it ❤️

R&S’s wedding at was pure romance! An early fall day kissed with golden light, a waterfront ceremony framed by lush green and white florals, and a tented reception that glowed with warmth and joy.

From start to finish, the day unfolded with ease, allowing R&S and their loved ones to be fully present in every beautiful moment. Later that evening, the celebration continued as filled the tent with energy and kept guests dancing all night long.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary, R&I ✨

Their early fall wedding at was nothing short of magic. Golden light streaming in, crisp autumn air, and so much love in every detail. One of my favourite moments is that the string quartet filling the space with music was made even more meaningful by the fact that one of the musicians was family. 💛 It was the perfect personal touch to a day overflowing with joy, beauty, and connection.

Here’s to reliving the laughter, the love, and that unforgettable celebration all over again. Cheers to one year down, and a lifetime to go 🥂🤍

One year ago, D&A celebrated their I do’s at the gorgeous .mill.weddings and while the forecast called for rain and wind, nothing was going to dampen their spirits 🌧✨

Every detail was thoughtfully designed with lush greens, creamy florals, and golden accents that glowed as the evening carried on.

When it comes to planning your ceremony, below are some things to remember:

1. Timing - typically guests will start arriving 30 minutes prior to the time included on your invitation. It's nice to have music playing starting at this point (and most DJs/musicians account for this) and if your wedding is outside in the summer, having water and/or lemonade is a nice touch!

Unless you're having a religious ceremony, it usually doesn't go longer than 30 minutes. Take this into account when planning for your cocktail hour time!

2. There are three key parts of the ceremony:
- the Processional: this is the act of walking into the ceremony
- the actual Ceremony: will include welcome & opening words, vow & rings exchange, signing the marriage license and the kiss!
- the Recessional: the act of walking out of the ceremony

My job as your coordinator is to manage the logistical aspects of the processional and recessional although we also practice everything during the actual ceremony at the rehearsal! This way, no one will have any confusion on the day of as to what comes next and where to stand/sit!

3. Personalization - I know the idea of standing up in front of all of your friends and family can seem daunting, but that is the whole reason they attend! They want to celebrate your love story so take this time to embrace it by adding some personalized touches to the ceremony. I've had couples do a fondue unity ceremony, ring warmings, and had friends/family members officiate so that their ceremony script resembles their love story! The possibilities are endless.
