Lets Welcome😎 IBUTHO 9902 is a music duo that consists of two members mainly Licco SA & Brutus Pablo. Basically 99 is year which Brutus Pablo was born and 02 is year Licco SA was born. That’s how the 9902 came about. IBUTHO is a Zulu word that describes being together; holding it together. Licco SA & Brutus Pablo are from a small township called Wedela, they mainly grew up in this small township. Brutus Pablo started the music when he was still in church choirs and he led most of time, then that’s when he began the music career. Licco SA started music as he got an inspiration from the fellow member. They all started back in 2011. Music genre that the duo does is a mixture of hip-hop and pop, an inspiration that led to doing that was the legendary Black Mambazo & the famous Jamville duo. They released an EP of 3 tracks after people had heard their music separately and they decided to venture into a duo due to the fact that the people loved their sound. Members have written so many tracks & decided to name their recent project UZAMCOLO which is a Zulu word that describes rain that pours slowly, known as showers. That inspiration came about the fact that they release hits and these songs slowly make an impact on other artists. They have been performing at clubs and festivals, that’s how they market the music they do. About 5 tracks were played on a show by Oskido on Metro FM. Duo was nominated for a MAMA Awards & SAUMA Awards, EMLANJENI got 3 nominations for Best Produced Song, Best Feature & Best AFRO-POP. ISPELET & SUMMER HIT are the new latest tracks that have been dominating the streets for since they have been released. They got recognition from the likes of Oskido, DJ TIRA, DJ FRESH, BLACK COFFEE & BIG ZULU to name a few
