A concert performance of recently composed works of vocal chamber music in Farsi and English, in the classical music tradition, by rising female composers and poets from the Iranian diaspora. Texts set in the vocal works range widely from the traditional Farsi masterworks of Omar Kayyam, to Farsi poetry from 10th-century female spiritual leader, Rabia Balkhi, to contemporary English-language verse
