Happy BELATED Mother's Day! Ashley doesn't know I am doing this. 😎 “The LORD your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will be quiet in his love. He will delight in you with singing.” - Zephaniah 3:17 This is a verse that stuck out to me a couple months ago when I was reading. Specifically, the sentence that states “He will be quiet in His love.” I had no idea this would become the theme for my life and family in this season. With everything bad, there has been abundantly more good that has come to us. And we are in a position daily recognizing all the small ways we have been blessed, and how simple, yet eternally effective, His quiet love has been toward us. Just as we sit, listen, and continue to trust; it has been the most liberating, most purposeful time of my life. And it is in due part because I get to share it all with my wife, Ashley. I made this video for her as a gift for mother’s day, which is why I am posting it later than Sunday. We have learned there are times to share our pains, triumphs, successes, failures, and everything in between, but more often than not, to share in these things with each other first; at the end of the day, what matters most is where God is leading us, and the testimony we share can only be established when we seek Him intimately. We are building a testimony and story together, and the life that we share in growing and knowing Him more, is enough. Each day is a gift, and to know that tomorrow isn’t promised is actually, surprisingly, freeing! Remember to love those around you, especially the beautiful moms and mother figures He has put in your life!!
