I would like to apologize to you all. I was under the impression that tickets were set up on the event page and it turns out that they weren't. For anyone that wants to get tickets, I've corrected that error and I'm leaving the link here as well. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you in September.

I'm super happy to say it's almost Freefall weekend! I'll be doing early check-in tomorrow at the IHOP in Kenosha. Come get food and sign in so you don't have to wait in line on Saturday morning. If you haven't already, drop onto Discord and say hi. You can start your plotting and scheming early this way. Can't wait to see all of you!

It's the last day for pre-registration! If you want your loot bag, you need to get pre-registered. Group registration gets you a ship and all the other amenities. Loot bags include one of this year's patches, a Paracord bracelet, and 500a$. Don't miss out on this deal!

It's with a sad heart that I have to cancel Freefall this year. The Safer At Home order has been reinstated in this part of Wisconsin as Covid-19 infection rates are reaching levels previously seen in April. This will only be for this year as the prizes, plotlines, and patches will keep for next year's event. Pre-registration will be refunded on Friday. Please stay safe everyone and we hope to see you next year.

44TH ‘VAMPIRES’ FIGHTER SQUADRON PATCHES

I’ve created this patch set in homage to my friend Mykal Antczak (recently passed) and to support Kitty and the Freefall event. Mykal was an avid Firefly fan and a creative force behind the annual shindig in Wisconsin. After his passing I learned that he’d served as an electrical engineer for the ground crew of the 44th Fighter Squadron, so this set is made in honor of him and the brave men and women of the 44th.

The 44th Fighter Squadron now enters the Expanding Verse as an Independent fighting force based out of Ataraxia in the Blue Sun System.

The top fighter squadron patch is 4” tall by 4.6” wide. It will feature iron-on backing and a narrow embroidered border. The lower ground crew patch is 4” tall by 3” wide and will also feature iron-on backing and a narrow embroidered border. The simplified Mandarin on both patches is ’44’ and ‘Vampires’ respectively.

The patches will be sold as sets. One set is $20 (or 2 sets for $36 or 3 for $48) shipped to the U.S. If you’re interested in the run, please post to the original thread on the Yellowjacket page and include the number of sets you’ll be purchasing. Interest on this is already strong, so funding may be called for quickly. Once the funding is collected, the patches will go into production.

NOTE: It’s hoped that the patches will be completed in time for Freefall in July, but there’s a small chance of delays due to the current health situation.

Please watch the original posting on the Yellowjacket page for regular updates on funding and fulfillment. The sales of the patches will benefit charity and the Freefall event as it continues into the future.
