We're MAGFest, a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation of games and video game music. We hold multiple events throughout the year.

MAGFest - The Music And Gaming Festival. Our flagship event featuring dozens of musical performers, tons of 24 hour gaming, panels, guests, and more. O

ccurs every January in the DC area. Bit Gen Gamer Fest - An one day video game cover band bonanza in Baltimore, with arcades, consoles and artists thrown in for fun. Occurs every summer in the Baltimore area. MAGstock - A MAGFest family reunion at a campground. Features tents, chiptunes, and too many video games than belong in nature. Occurs every summer in central Virginia

Game Over - MAGFest's touring concert series. An evening of video game bands, and video games. Occurs all during the year, all over the USA.

Our second feature today is coming to the main stage all the way from Modesto, California. Give it up for Lizz Robinett & Friends!

Lizz writes English adaptations to her favorite anime openings and endings, and also adds original lyrics to video game instrumentals! Her friends join her this year at Super MAGFest 2025 to make songs from your favorite games, shows, and anime come to life! The Friends list is expansive and there’s sure to be some fun surprises at this show!

Kicking things off this Saturday is a sonic production that shifts across the spectrum of sound, Give it up for Red Vox!

New York City based 5 piece Red Vox is lead by none other than frontman Vinny Vinesauce. His channel is home to the “sauciest streams on the net", but he’s kicked that aside to conquer the Main Stage at Super MAGFest! Join them on a journey from 90s grunge, across psychadelia and 80s synth-rock and all the way back.

Costumes are a recurring theme today... Our next main stage act is making their RETURN to Super MAGFest, bringing their brand of electrifying music to entertain us all.

They're a cross-factional rock band from beyond the stars, though their home base on earth is in Toronto, Ontario. Their music has inspired a Quintesson judge and an avatar of Unicron to join them. Bringing their own robotic spin to songs from anime, video games, and a certain famous movie, they've proven time and again that they can rock the house and provide a legendary experience for Super MAGFest to enjoy. The Super MAGFest Cosplay department is pleased to announce photoshoot signups are NOW OPEN! Whether you're a cosplayer, photographer, fan, or something in between, everyone is welcome to sign up to organize a group photoshoot! Staffers, volunteers, and attendees alike, photoshoots are open to all organizers.

Photoshoot signups will run through November 27, but please get your submissions in ASAP! Please note, this is just for organizers, no signup is necessary to attend. All questions can be directed to [email protected]

The next treat for our attendees is an act that knows how to bring the party: based in Chicago, Illinois, it's The Microphone Misfitz!

Embracing all of the four elements of hip hop, the Misfitz bring a high energy performance that's filled with choreography, dynamic lyricism and sick beats. They've worked with MAGFest regulars Mega Ran and K-Murdock, they've toured the world over, they've played with hip hop legends such as KRS-One and Jeru the Damaja, and they've made comic books that tie in with their music for a dazzling multimedia experience. amateurLSDJ takes the stage with fast-paced, entrancing tracks at MAGFest 2025!

Tyrese - known as amateurLSDJ - is a chiptune composer that primarily uses the program Little Sound DJ on his Gameboy. Honing his craft after discovering the genre through Chipzel's seminal Super Hexagon soundtrack, he has gone on to create various projects and singles that capture that distinctive 8-bit sound.

We’re stoked to announce that The Blueshift Big Band will be hitting the stage at MAGSuper 2025!

The Blueshift Big Band is a 17-piece jazz ensemble from Chicago, known for its innovative interpretations of video game music. Formed by drummer Joel Baer and guitarist Chris Parsons and bringing a unique twist to the big band jazz tradition by arranging and performing iconic tracks from classic games, Blueshift released their debut album in 2023 - Joystick Jazz: The Blueshift Big Band Plays Iconic Video Game Hits Vol. 1 under the iam8bit label shortly followed by Volumes 2 in 2024.

Pokerus Project began in 2012 by guitarist Patricio Thielemann making Pokémon (and other VGM) covers and playing some local gigs in his hometown of Santiago, Chile. Now, after 12 years, a fully established band, and their debut at Jamspace at MAGFest 2023, they have become one of the most influential and active Game Music Rock bands from Latin America.

We're BACK with another artist feature today: Welcome MASTER BOOT RECORD to MAGSuper 2025!!!

MBR came about in 2016 and has been steadily at work, releasing 14 albums across several labels, ultimately settling in with Metal Blade Records to release “Floppy Disk Overdrive” and “Personal Computer”, pushing their recognition to a worldwide audience. They're part of the team responsible for the point and click adventure “VirtuaVerse” released in 2020, as well as the accompanying soundtrack.

The Consoles Game Room is now accepting submissions for tournaments for Super MAGFest 2025. Do you want to run a tournament for your favorite game that ISN’T Shaq-Fu?

The handy-dandy submission form link is below. What’s that? What’s wrong with Shaq-Fu? Nothing. In reality, it’s grossly underrated. Shaq-Fu has some of the best rotoscoping animation outside of Prince of Persia and the OST is fire. Don’t worry. It’s okay. We’ll run Shaq-Fu ourselves. We’ll probably run it twice, idk.
