The ranunculus and anemones are tucked away and doing their thing… Because they are a major investment, and the high tunnel is choice real estate, we fixed up the soil before planting. We broadforked, added soldier fly frass from , and tilled in rice hulls to rectify a little compaction. Aphids can be a problem with these crops because they get going when it’s too cold out for the good bugs to arrive, so we’re excited to see how the frass helps the plants build better defenses…
