I’m really excited to be leading on this exhibition for the Eden project!

We're delighted to be one of 12 gardens in seven countries participating in Seeing The Invisible, the most ambitious and expansive exhibition to date of contemporary artworks created with augmented reality technology.

Running from September, Seeing the Invisible features new works by more than a dozen international artists and will place the same group of artworks in 12 outdoor settings to create parallels and contrasts between them.

The exhibition will be accessible via smartphone and tablet the through a unique Seeing the Invisible app.

When I moved to the UAE I was lucky enough to secure a contract with FLASH running the entertainment for Mother of the Nation Festival.

It was such an amazing first project learning about the region, developing my skills and contacts and making some great friends.

The three things that stand out are the crazy bad weather, installing a grand piano on a stage on a beach and how many kids lost a single shoe!

It’s been great taking the information I have, and then developing it with research, to ensure the content I deliver will be more than adequate to help businesses in the Cornwall utilise virtual events to enhance their awareness in these tough times!

My platforms are now live….

The last week I’ve been working on my digital presence and building my Instagram, Facebook and my website.

It’s sort of a digital CV but at the same time will give me a chance to share information about past and future projects, plus, a way for me to be able to research trends & technologies and share ideas and my thoughts on the industry through social media posts and my blog.

One of my favourite quotes from clients (not all – most of my clients are amazing) makes me scratch my head…

“I want something unique & never before seen – show me a reference image”!

One thing I try to remember is that clients don’t think like me (actually not many people do!), so I have to do my best to put myself in their shoes and bring an idea to life infront of them.

I have been lucky in my career so far to work with some outstanding designers in person and remotely that have helped with this whether from a simple layout, branding, 2D and 3D designs whether digitized or hand drawn – without them I may not of seen some of the ideas I had develop!

One idea we had was to take some old VW camper vans and turn them into interactive pieces of art to promote a location in Dubai – here you will see the rendered designs and the final thing!

I was very happy with the outcome!!!

One of the questions I know I’ll get asked is “why the gorilla logo?”

Well meet Henry – Henry was part of the upside-down house we built at the Diriyah Seasons Festival in Saudi Arabia – we became mates, he understands me!

I bought him back to live with us in Dubai and my daughters named him – and now he is with us in the UK!

So that’s why – Henry reminds me of one of my favourite projects and of my kids – oh and he looks cool – so no better reason I think!

Events have always been a big part of my life.. whether sports.. music.. adventure and everything in between... I'm very excited to be able to share future experiences with my children.. Henni was lucky enough to be treated amazingly when I was at Done Events and witnessed some great performances.. Macklemore being one of them! This is one of the reasons I want events back and why there will never be a substitute for live events!
