So honored to have the opportunity to donate a gift basket to their auction! 🥰 Glad the event was such a hit!

Children’s Wisconsin of Wausau was thrilled with a visit today from Bekki Bauer and Lindsey Zajichek from the Wausau Academy of Dance.
Our organization was selected as the recipient of this year’s Boo Bash Spectacular. We are beyond blessed and grateful for the very generous donation of $10,550 to be used for mental health services for children in Marathon County. As professionals working with children on a daily basis, they have witnessed firsthand the impact of mental health on our youth, especially over the last 3 years. Their desire to reduce stigma and increase accessibility for kids is truly admirable.
Proceeds include money raised from their recent Halloween performances, silent auction, t-shirt sales, and donations from a number of small businesses in our community.
Lastly, it was no coincidence they chose today, Giving Tuesday, to make this very generous donation in hopes that other local community members may also consider giving. If you are interested in making a donation please contact Anne La Chapelle at 715-848-1457.

Although the Red Theme picnics are the most popular this summer, the blue theme is actually my favorite! My favorite color is blue and this theme has a small pillow with birdhouses on it that matches its picnic basket perfectly 😍

Hey, all! I got a job working for PROCESS on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays! I'm so excited to be part of the success of another small business here in and I'm ready to be a part of the shop's low-waste mission. I've always taken Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, but with my new schedule, I'll also be taking Thursdays off.

Behind the Scenes of creating awesome picnics for my customers: Laundry! I wash my picnic blankets, pillows, tablecloths, napkins, and placemats every time I host a picnic. This is a small look at the work I do that nobody sees - stain removal, ironing wrinkled items, keeping laundry detergent in stock. I'll also say that I have sensitive skin when it comes to laundry, so my detergent is made for sensitive skin and doesn't include dyes or fragrances.

Do you know what Labor Day is all about? It's about people who fought for workers' rights in the USA and I think that's a really amazing thing to celebrate! Things like a standard work day capped at 8 hours, safety regulations, and fair pay are all things we can be thankful for today.

The sweetest couple booked my Red Theme Simple Picnic last night and the Pfiffner Park ducks kept me company as I was cleaning up! It brought me such joy to help this couple celebrate their first anniversary and they left me the sweetest handwritten note to find when I tore down the picnic. Thank you to everyone who's supported my small business so far & I hope I have lots of opportunities to have nights like this in summers to come! 🥰

This is part of the reason I've made it so that picnics that don't purchase a food add-on will not receive place settings. This is the minimum load of dishes I have to do every time I put out place settings for a picnic. This is the base for four picnic guests and it adds up fast. Even if the guests don't appear to have used the place settings, I still have to wash them after every single picnic. I LOVE the look of a picnic with all of the accessories needed for a yummy feast laid out, but it logistically just doesn't make sense to set up place settings for every picnic.

Picnics that DO purchase a food add-on will be able to use my dishes, though, and I will continue cleaning up afterwards for them, too!

Thank you so much for respecting this change as I navigate the logistics of this new business!

NEW: You can now enjoy a charcuterie with your picnic!

The new food add-on includes:
Cheese: 1 package Malcore's white cheese curds
Meat: 1 package Old Wisconsin Original Sausage Bites
Crackers: 1 box Alessi Garlic breadsticks or Garlic & Herb bruschette, depending on availability
Condiment: 1 8oz jar of Fed Up Foods, LLC Pickle Relish or Specialty Cranberry Sauce (customer's choice)
Drink: 1 bottle sparkling grape juice

If you or your guests have any dietary restrictions, please email me to see if we can make substitutions!

With this new development, I'm also adjusting how my picnics are set up: Picnics that purchase a food add-on will receive access to my picnic plates, silverware, and drinkware - picnics that don't purchase a food add-on will not receive place settings anymore. This was a tough decision, but I wash the dishes used in my picnics at my home - where my business is run out of. Members of my household have some severe food allergies and I can't risk bringing home dishes that may have my family's allergens on them. Additionally, the more time I spend washing dishes for every picnic, the more expensive my service will inevitably get. No one wants that! So, I think it's best all the way around to make this change in my picnic setups. Thank you so much for respecting this change.

My partner and I have been taste testing different cheeses, meats, and crackers to offer y'all a basic charcuterie board. Between you and me, I'm super close to having a food add-on available with my picnics. 😋 After chatting with a lot of local food vendors (and awesome humans!), I'm so excited to have found a collaboration that should fit the picnic scene delightfully!

I'm holding off on sharing details until I've officially got a food add-on option in place, but stay tuned!

Of course, this development has come right in time for the weather to get cold, but I'm excited to see what happens in the winter months. Thanks so much for following my journey so far this summer! 🥰
