We just can't get enough of all the Europa Cup - European Floristry Championship 2022 designs!

Task 3 was called 'life is much like a song', and for good reason. The competitors were challenged to make a bouquet inspired by the song 'Espana Forever' by Maanam. Two prerequisites: the bouquet must be transportable by one person and a vase must be included.

It has been a spectacular weekend at Europa Cup - European Floristry Championship 2022!

Let's start with a big congrats to Hanneke Frankema for winning the championship, with the help of her assistant Max van de Sluis! Well done guys!

This was their first design. For assignment 1 - called 'every life has a soundtrack' - the task was to make an arrangement that allows 6 people to get together at a school reunion, inspired by the designer's favourite song. Hanneke made this bench based on the song "Teach me how to dance with you" by Causes, with Clematis Amazing® Miami and Kyiv!

Did you know that 14 out of the 16 competitors used at least one of the varieties of the Clematis Amazing® series in one of the assignments?! We're so proud to be a favourite for so many!

🌸 Clematis Amazing® Havana

Isn't she wonderful?
Isn't she precious?
Less than one minute old...🎶
.. Well actually 2 years old now. Clematis Amazing® Havana was introduced in 2020 and has grown to become a beloved member of the Clematis Amazing® family.

She is special for many reasons. Her back is striped, and she has a beautiful heart. The white stamens have deep purple tips. A wonderful sight when the flower opens and a special feature among the cut Clematis. This variety has a large flower on top, and four smaller buds on the side branches, which open slowly – usually at the moment the large flower is almost done blooming. Such a precious addition to the family!

Working that wire

Hanneke Frankema aka the iron lady created this base of lilac aluminum wire, a perfect match with Clematis Amazing® Miami!

Round shapes are an overall favourite for Hanneke, as well as the technique of gluing flowers onto her iron structures. She's once again proving that base structures don't need hiding!

Freshly cut Clematis 😊🌸

Once harvested, the flowers are brought to the packhouse where each stem is checked for quality. They are then immediately cooled, and will remain cooled throughout their journey to the auction. This results in a vase life of 10-14 days minimum, depending on the variety!

A story of Love💕

And Respect, Freedom, Tolerance, Equality & Pride. Those were the key words for this shoot by Robert Bartolen OFFICIAL This Slovakian floral designer makes the most extraordinary fairytale-like creations, this time with pastels.

Róbert plays with different styles and backgrounds, all floating in clouds. He makes the structures with dried polygonum sticks. These are hollow on the inside and ideal for hiding water tubes!
