Today’s Smoke BBQ takes inspiration from flavors across the country to create unique and delicious sauces. Recently, we were asked to develop an 'Ohio' style BBQ sauce. We considered the flavors of the fall season in Ohio, such as pumpkin and apples, and set out to create something special. After much experimentation, we settled on two variations. The first one did not quite have the right taste, but the second one we tweaked until we achieved the perfect balance of sweet and tangy with a distinct apple flavor. We call it Buckeye Hickory, and it joins our other signature sauces and our traditional sauces, including Sunrise Sensation (Florida-based), Hula Luau (Hawaiian), Coastal Carolina (Carolina-style), Memphis Movement (Memphis-style), and Kansas City Craze (Kansas City-style). We are excited to have Buckeye Hickory as part of our lineup and look forward to serving it at your next event.
