Got some new followers lately so time for new introductions: If you’re looking for someone to officiate your wedding, who’s as real as you know what, I’m it. I love to eat, drink, laugh, cry, commiserate, pray, sing and dance! Never in my life did I think I would have four kids, but here I am 🤣 Wedding officiating is my full-time job which keeps these crazy kids fed and in school, so I take it seriously and make your wedding my PRIORITY!

I have performed over 1,000 ceremonies and I’m a preferred vendor at most venues in the greater New Orleans area. I’m also an officiant with nationwide elopement company, Simply Eloped❤️

I suck at math, cooking, exercise, willpower, and a million other things, but I can professionally speak like nobody’s business and I thoroughly enjoy watching your guests actually listen and appreciate your ceremony 🥰

6,500. That’s the approximate number of weddings in New Orleans each year. Some are weekday elopements/microweddings but most will be on the weekends. With only 4-5 weekends per month, for all enagaged couple seeking professional vendors, this is your reminder to book ASAP.

For example, for April 5 this year, I had 19 inquiries, but could only accept 2. I try to refer couples to other trusted vendors but typically they’re booked too.

I’ve worked so hard to have my website and social media convey “me” and not just a service that I provide. I get emails like this often, with couples ready to pull the trigger before we even talk/meet because of what they have seen online and it makes me so happy that God has placed me in this line of work❤️

If you scroll through these ceremonies, you will see some beautiful, happy couples❤️, but there’s one thing you can’t see 👀

A long time ago, a past employer told me that he values soft skills over experience. He pointed out my innate ability to adjust my personality based on the client’s personality, or better put-

adapting your communication style, demeanor, and overall approach to align with the client’s personality and preferred interaction style.

It’s funny because I never realized that I did such a thing. As a wedding officiant, I realized how valuable this skill is to my couples!

Obviously every couple is unique, and they also want to feel like they mesh with the person performing their ceremony. I, without thinking or trying, become who you need me to be. I am laughing with you, being strong and serious or a calming presence for you. I can read the room, read your energy and often, your mind. There’s been times that I’ve deviated from the script, just a tad, to inject a little icebreaker when I saw/felt some uncontrollable nerves from the couple. Every time, I received the same reaction following the ceremony: “Thank you SO much, you don’t realize how much we needed that!”🥰 (Oh but I did 😉)

In a society where people are quick to share bad experiences, when clients take time out of their busy day to leave such heartfelt reviews, it truly means more than I can articulate. You’ve spent so much time, thought, energy money, etc. on your wedding day….Surely you want your officiant, the one orchestrating the most important part of the day, to know all of the following:

❗️When and where do you apply for your marriage license?
❗️What do you say when the bride is about to walk down the aisle?
❗️What is the first thing you say before starting the ceremony?
❗️ Do you know how to handle an awkward moment in the ceremony?
❗️ Do you know the three times to step out out of the way during the ceremony?
❗️Can you project your voice, speak slowly and articulately?
❗️Can you read the script effortlessly while effectively making eye contact with the couple and the guests?
❗️Do you know what to do if the couple forgets the rings?
❗️Do you know how to complete the marriage license?
❗️Can you write a ceremony script that aligns with the couple’s beliefs, style, and personality?
❗️Can you time your words/ad lib, in the event that the photographer is not in place to capture important key moments during the ceremony?
❗️Do you have something professional to read from that isn’t an eye sore in pictures?

I understand that some couples desire to have a family member or a friend perform their ceremony, but chances are, that person does not have experience in all of these areas. I am happy to offer a crash course via email or phone to make sure your officiant has the tools they need to make your ceremony perfect! Pricing starts at $75!

Happy New Year Y’all! In case some of you didn’t know, last year I was blessed with baby #4! Jameson is the joy of my life! But can you even imagine trying to write ceremony scripts, have introduction calls, work on wedding day timelines, etc. with this sweet face looking at me?!🤣

I am incredibly thankful for the grace everyone has shown during this transition- all the times I said, “Please excuse the baby babbling” or “Sorry for the delay in response - we’re in the newborn trenches.” No one batted an eye and that meant the world to me❤️❤️

In a time where people are struggling to make ends meet (myself included, with 3 kids in private school and an 8 month old), I want you to know that I get it.

Couples are scaling back their weddings to make them more affordable, and honestly, they are loving the intimacy of it. I have maintained my prices based on many factors of running a business (this is my full-time job, not a side hustle) but I do want to mention that I can be extremely flexible with payment plans. If I am the officiant for you, but money is an obstacle, PLEASE still reach out. We can make it work. Dont skimp on the orchestrator of your most important day. You deserve professionalism, articulation, passion, personality, and expert knowledge of the complicated marriage license process in Nola.

I truly WANT your day to be perfect, to the point that I have even put on my coordinator hat and corrected numerous issues before the wedding starts. You could have someone who just stands there and reads, but why??

Saying hola 👋 to all the new followers! I’m Michele, wedding officiant and coordinator since 2014. Mom of 4 kids that couldn’t make me prouder, lover of craft draft beers, old-fashioneds, Mexican food, a good sociopath/murderer series, and laying in bed under a weighted blanket. I suffer from “worst-case scenario” anxiety and borderline hypochondria 🤣 and also have a slight “crunch” addiction (most people crave sweet or salty but I need something with a loud, hard crunch - not just any chip will do).

This is my full-time job, not a side hustle. My prices reflect my experience, expertise, soft skills, cost of doing business and hours worked from first inquiry to filing your marriage license.

10 years later and I still think its wild that I am directing such an important day in a couple’s life. How much of an honor and privilege is that!! A recent comment from a wedding guest: “All the other weddings I’ve attended were long and boring, or it sounded like the guy was just robotically reading from a script. My wife and I appreciated your audience engagement and your words about marriage really had some weight and meaning to them. We left the ceremony a little more in love.” 😍

I cry over so many things, like videos of parents with their babies, and my kids are like, “Mom, what’s WRONG with you?”

I have always been an empath and I think that is a great quality for an officiant to have. When I’m at the altar with you, I’m feeling all the feels with you. As you’re exchanging your personally-written vows, I’m silently saying “OMG that’s the sweetest thing Ive ever heard!”

My greatest accomplishment and compliment as a professional wedding officiant, is hearing that I am truly a “part” of the big day, and our interaction is anything but transactional. Let’s talk about making your ceremony unforgettable ♥️♥️

I'm a little late in recognizing this accomplishment....since becoming ordained in June 2015, in October I hit 1,000 l ceremonies officiated♥️. Never did I imagine that I would marry (pun intended) my love for love and my 20+ years of previous public speaking experience and turn it into my full-time career! The craziest part about this journey is, about two years ago I realized that I was grossly under charging. I was afraid that raising my prices would mean fewer clients, especially in today’s economy. But just like Taylor Swift tickets, when people want something, they will pay for it. They get the wedding cake they want, the wedding dress, the stunning venue, etc. and as a wedding professional, why should I be any different? I am so very thankful for all of the wedding planners, venues, vendors, past clients, and friends who continue to support and recommend me!As most of you know, this industry is not for the faint of heart- the hours and energy spent preplanning, double checking, triple checking, and prioritizing each wedding to ensure you deliver 100% to an event that deserves 100%, is incredibly stressful. So your confidence in me is something that I genuinely appreciate!Cheers!!
