Don't confuse someone not being at every event / party for someone not putting in the work behind the scene.
The reason they might not be there every event is because they are choosing to spend 4 hours on a crappy snare or learn how to make a sound so they can be ready once they get those chances .
The choices they make off social media and choices that look like they are not interested are sometimes choices only they know the reasons for. These choices are sometimes family, work, lack of actual money or sometimes saving that R200 for a new tutorial so they can be who they want to be one day and not just a walking CD
Sometimes its just pure depression as they feel empty because they cant get the noises out onto the PC and make it as beautiful as it is in there heads...
Im sure there are 100000 reasons why other artists do the same. Just know when the time is right, you will see them everywhere and see them happy.
Respect to everyone out there doing there best to do what they love .

I do love my hard driving 132 bpm techno but there is something about 123bpm Melodic Techno 2 hour sets that moves me.
