I've had a few people respond to my stories lately when I share my chaos asking how I deal with bad days so let me tell you just a few of the fckeries I have caused. What's your worst day?
Starting out strong with my catastrophic wrong name on the sign last weekend, although this wasn't the first time, and the name was pretty close.... 4/10 catastrophe. Refunded the premium payment and apologised profusely.
Next up....
Was late to a job because I hit a kid with my van after he ran out in front of a bus. I was going about 6mph and he was absolutely fine, but I dropped him home and subsequently was late...
...and on the same job, I arrived and the light up number didn't work. 6/10 catastrophe on the light, I knew the person and let the birthday girl keep the giant Taylor swift cut out. 9/10 catastrophe on the hitting a child with my van front.
My personal favourite.... Put a job in my diary on the wrong date. Got a text to ask if everything was okay, it was not, had to drive about 100mph to do a set up in 30 minutes and sweat the whole time. 8/10 catastrophe.
This particular one has happened too many times to count... Done a balloon order on a Thursday (because obviously I can only do things last minute) and forgot to add colours necessary for the weekend so had to beg, steal and borrow from the girls. 2/10 catastrophe.... It's happened so many times now it's kinda my thing.
Today.... 5/10 catastrophe.
I forgot a whole bouncy castle. You heard right honestly need to check invoices. I sent Karla to get the bouncy castle, crisis averted.
I am honestly so done with this brain.
Unfortunately for me I'm unable to take medication to help which means unfortunately for you, you're gonna have to deal with the chaos. I have however started taking lions mane, so imagine what I could do if my brain worked at a normal speed.
Forever grateful for having the most laid back and down to earth customers ever who embrace my chaos. I really love you all!

Monochrome is the new black..... and this "we can bearly wait" baby shower in @kalisanballoons - Hazelnut is stunning.
Honestly I'm obsessed with a single colour display at the moment! They're still so underrated despite being such high impact, and it's an excellent option if you're indecisive about colour schemes and what works with what!
Monochrome booking will continue to be 10% off for the rest of the year to build a stunning mono portfolio.
I am finally, finally getting round to catching up on social media. My inbox is waiting to be read through, so if you've enquired and I've not replied give me a nudge. I've got invoices to write and mock ups to pull together, but I'm promising I'm working through everything today. I've been so quiet on the gram over the past two weeks whilst we pulled together the final bits for the retreat, but I'm back in Perfectly Imperfect mode.
With a mammoth install this weekend, your girl is feeling grateful 💜
Intimate gender reveals are in, and there are very few concepts cuter than a wardrobe reveal, so save for inspo and tag all the baby mamas who are getting ready to book there's!
I'm so happy with how this one turned out. After 6 months of saying I wanted to create this display I finally got the chance too, and it exceeded all of my expectations. Gender reveals are so popular now, and what a beautiful way to share the news with your friends and family.
Anyone that knows me will know how much I love to use an everyday prop on a balloon installation, I've used fireplaces, baths, mannequins, but this might be my favourite.
Thanks for trusting me with your special day @_laurgrainger and congratulations on another baby boy 💙
If you're looking to book in for a unique gender reveal, drop a comment below and I'll send you details on the package!

A very demure and very mindful choice of work attire from Perfectly Imperfect Parties... But when you have clients like mine, they come to expect it. I can't wait to show you this one in all its glory, tell you the whole story in detail but for now... Just enjoy the fact that I got to run around as a dinosaur with Eddie after an entire year of telling me he's having a dinosaur birthday and that I had to dress up with him.
Thank you for always letting me be part of your special celebration and for forever making me laugh! Hope you had the bestest day and I did the toilet roll tubes justice. Dinosaur balloons might be my new favourite reason to dress up 😂🦖

Wrong answers only: because I literally can't take anything seriously.
We've all been there. We've all had people enquire and then disappear off the face of the earth, but it's one of those things you have to suck up and get used to. It's all well and good giving alternative ways that they can politely decline an enquiry, but life is busy, sometimes too busy.
I've been just as guilty at forgetting to respond or send designs missing spam emails or messages requests, promising to get back to them and then needing a little reminder because there's 100 million things going on.
Whilst our businesses are a priority to us, they aren't to other people so you can't be surprised when you're not top of the list to get back to. Being ghosted isn't always a reflection on you or your prices, there's a whole list of other reasons, and whilst it polite etiquette, life moves fast and forgetful.
I always try and instill in all of the girls that I work with that this isnt a reflection on them, it happens to businesses big and small alike. How many times have you enquired about insurance, or utilities or holidays and not followed up? We've got to remember we live in a society where people want immediate gratification for as little as possible, and sometimes that's just not beneficial to us.
Keep hustling baddies...
"Balloons isn't a real job"
"There's too much competition in the area"
"People will never pay them prices"
"What if you fail?"
"Why don't you get a proper job?"
Years of late nights and early mornings, juggling a family and a business, wading through grief of losing my child, all so I could do something that made me genuinely happy. All so I could create every single day despite people telling me I couldn't. Despite being ready to give up every time I went through quiet periods, every time something went wrong, every time I slipped into depression.
I walked into 2024 determined that it was going to be a year for growth, for bigger things, a stepping stone into where I want to go with my career and honestly I'm so grateful. Grateful to be surrounded by people that lift me up. Grateful to have built a community of people who want to see eachother win. Grateful that I now get to do even more, teach more, and create more!
Honestly I'm so excited to show you all the things that we've got in the pipeline this year!! If you're looking at booking in for training, slide in my DMS. All necessary information can also be found in my highlights reel!
