Ramsgate Living Advent Calendar Fundraising event for local charity through December. Each year, 24 residents become 'hosts' for their advent door, window, porch or front garden.

Each evening in December, you can visit a 'door' which will be decorated for you to enjoy. In 2021, we are collecting money for Thanet Shelter and Support which helps local homeless and needy people. It's a great cause and one that directly benefits those in great need at this time of year. Pop as much or as little in our buckets each evening as you can. Or donate online using the QR code displayed.

I’ve been along to the Salvation Army this morning to hand over a final donation and to have a formal acknowledgement of how much they have received from us. Needless to say, Carl and the team are delighted with this huge sum which can really make a difference to people. Thank you again.

Incredible! This year’s advent doors has raised £3933.33 in support of The Dalvation Army’s work in support of the homeless. An incredible amount. Thank you to all our hosts and other generous donors. You are what makes Ramsgate special.

It’s the silliest, most fun, most uplifting sing-song you’ll ever be lucky enough to be invited to join. You’ll get given the words. You’ll know the tunes. There will be nearly a hundred of you. Yes, it’s Ramsgate’s traditional Ding D**g Merrily On Pie Christmas Eve advent door.

You can prep the Christmas lunch and watch a film after you’ve been. Have a wonderful Ramsgate Christmas Eve!

Brilliant festive fun this evening! A jam-packed 7 Chatham Street with drinks and songs to warm the cockles. Couldn’t have been more Christmassy. Oh and a bit of David Bowie and Bing Crosby for a bit of nostalgic perfection. Well done and thank you!
