We are so excited to announce the next artists in our მშვიდობა Festival lineup! Be prepared, here is Cycle Error!

Cycle Error — Grunge/Punk band from Tbilisi, Georgia. The band was created in 2020. Now they have one finished album named — "Fabric standard". Currently guys are working on the second one and gonna release a couple of pop-punk singles very soon.

We asked Cycle Error to tell everything about themselves and their music:

«Our music doesn’t necessarily convey one specific idea. On a broader spectrum we express the routine of human problems, some sort of a Cycle that needs to be broken, as well as some of the hardships anyone could be struggling with. This is all our music.

In general artists tend to be more tolerant. Artist find beauty in giving happiness to those who relate to their self-expression. With this said, artists can do more in troubling times like this. Unlike governments we are not bound to a constitution or a “diplomatic responsibility”.

Through freedom of speech and peaceful self expression we are free to say the honest, unfiltered truth to reinforce those who stand with us, provoke the thoughts of ones who don’t have an opinion and anger those who stand against us.

With this event many likeminded artists can gather with a likeminded audience to not only support Ukraine financially, but also to let everyone know where all of us stand. Artists must express their opinion about all of this as much as possible in their work/performance. For us, music is the best way to convey our thoughts/protest.»

Cycle Error will perform on August 26 in The Place

We are happy to introduce you to the host place of მშვიდობა Festival - The Place! We are very grateful to the guys for their friendly approach and support, especially when we had problems with the previous spot planned for the festival. Thank you!

Here is our interview with the team of the Secret Place.

Volya Team: Please tell us about your team: who are the members, how many people are involved, where did you come from, how long have you been teaming up and creating the Secret Place?

The Secret Place: The Secret Place team is a community of enthusiasts who are united by a love of creative work and a focus on selfless kindness.. There are eight of us now. Some of the team members were familiar before moving to Georgia, which was the start of communication on opening their own place. This was supported by the fact that many of us had experience in catering and organizing events of various formats. The most of us are from different cities of Russia and one person is from Minsk. Two members of the team have Georgian roots.

Volya Team: What is the concept of place? Do you make concerts for everyone who asks to perform or are there any criteria for the musicians who can perform at your place?

The Secret Place: Our concept is based on a horizontal approach, which implies the absence of hierarchy in the team and is opposed to the dominant vertical in the economy. Everyone is equal and everyone has the right to vote. Thus, we catch a compromise zen on any issues that arise. Everyone who does not poison their minds with various kinds of discrimination and unjustified blind hate can perform in our place.

Volya Team: Do you have a manifest? If not, could you describe your values and the philosophy of your place in one-two sentences?

The Secret Place: Critical thinking, an open heart, and the ability to figuratively put yourself in another person's shoes. In general terms, this is all that is needed.

Volya Team: Why did you guys decide to host our festival?

The Secret Place: And why not cooperate with good people? Moreover, the purpose of the festival is charity. It actually makes this world a little bit better! In such difficult times, it is important to cling to any opportunity to help. And, of course, the top line-up!

Volya Team: What are your plans for expanding the secret place (if it is not a secret)?

The Secret Place: For the festival, we will launch a bar on the second floor and open our beautiful balcony! And the rest will remain a little secret for now :)

The following artists traditionally take part in our მშვიდობა Festival. We are pleased to announce the band Sonic Death

Foreversonicdeath is a garage psychedelic metal-goth krautrock band from St. Petersburg. SONIC DEATH is like a cocktail of youth, thrown in the face of snobbery and stupidity. Their music sounds as if Genesis P-Orridge called in the band Hawkwind to play G.G. Allin and Su***de covers!
Exclusively, on August 27, the guys will play an acoustic special program - Space Goth album!

Three members of SONIC DEATH left Russia due to military aggression against Ukraine, as well as full-scale censorship within the state.

We asked Arsenii (lead singer) our question: “How can an artist help Ukraine now?” and he rightly asked us in response: “What kind of artist do you mean?”.

Here is the deeper explanation from Arsenii:
“Considering that now I am writing in Russian (or rather in Eastern Ukrainian), then we are probably talking about artists from the former socialist camp. Therefore, it makes sense to reformulate “how can an artist from a country of the former socialist camp help Ukraine, which alone resists the onslaught of an army that carries the Middle Ages and archaic, animal cruelty? With this wording, the answer is obvious: in addition to unconditional financial and information support (where, in my opinion, information support is even more important, since the audience reading in Eastern Ukrainian is often less aware of events at the front due to the abundance of pro-Russian propaganda in this language), it is necessary create an example of a correct attitude towards war, in which there will be no place for formulas like “not everything is so simple”, or “wars are constantly going on somewhere”. It is necessary to find new approaches to culture in the Eastern Ukrainian language, to look for new concepts, instead of the imperial Tolstoevsky. We need to de-imperialize this culture. And who better than artists and artists to do this”.

Donor blood can save a life anytime.
At any given moment a person in an emergency situation may need your specific type of blood.
Therefore, we decided the best time to donate blood is now!

Georgia Ministry of Health alongside nearly 2,200 volunteers already donated blood for Ukrainian citizens in need this March. And they have no plan to stop. They also declared that they will send blood and medical staff right away, if Ukraine requests it.

Blood bank is a fund that has to be fully filled at all times. Blood transfusion is almost always a procedure that is urgent and unexpected. Therefore, blood donations are encouraged at all times, whether it is war, or peace.

We were thinking about donating to a blood bank at 9 Tsinandali Street. Either on 27 or 28 April. Blood is usually donated in the morning. Working hours are 9:30 to 15:00.
