We’re back!
Saturday, July 5th we’re diving head first into a night of propulsive, lysergic, deep-driving techno - full of trippy turns, cavernous atmospheres, and warped
textures. 🛸

At the helm of this shuttle to hyperspace are: Hayes Collective’s Temudo, Amsterdam’s Sandrien, and Paradox logistics king - Noa.

Early birds are still available. 🦅 Grab ‘em while you can! Stay tuned for artists spotlights coming in the next few weeks. Until then, happy dancing.

If you stayed till the end of one of our events last weekend, you might’ve found something tucked into your hand… one of these wee relics. Inspired by old skool rave flyers and the informative elegance of theatre and orchestral programs, these pamphlets were designed to be more than paper — they’re portals to past dance floor moments, an attempt to capture and help us remember the ineffable. ✨

For those of us who used to hoard wristbands like treasures (I for one am still rocking one from Tangent right now 😝), this is the next evolution. A tangible piece of the night — with details about each artist, and links to their labels, sound clouds, and more. These were whipped up by me, .14: resident grammar girlie, canva whiz & all-around creative cat. 🐱

They also hold something else… a little treat for the next party 🥂and glimpse behind the curtain. Starting with this edition, we’ll be revealing the beautiful people of Paradox — the ones who co-create these worlds. You’ll meet them soon enough… 😁🙂‍↕️

Slingin’ chuggers, sluggers, and all things weird ‘n wonky, Venus in Foil () is a Toronto-based DJ and organizer known for throwing events under aliases such as SOAK, Combo Breaker, Club ### and Dirt Rave. A hometown favourite with a cult-like following in the underground, her sound fuses tribal techno rhythms with gritty guitar, slippery psychedelia with sleazy new beat, steamy ’90s house with deliciously dark disco—and beyond. Known for leading dance floors into uncharted territory, she slips in curveballs that feel like déjà vu from a dream (or nightmare 😈) you’ve never had.

She’ll be leading our descent into the wormhole Saturday, May 17th. We’re beyond excited to hear what she’ll conjure up… 🌀

May 17th–18th // FORMAT & PARADOX present
A new weekender in two parts. Two days, two spaces, one narrative.

This is the first edition of our non-continuous weekender series, designed to trace connections across sound, space, and energy. Rooted in intention, it brings together artists whose voices cut through the noise with clarity and force. It’s not about scale, it’s about resonance.
Saturday, May 17th unfolds in a yet-to-be-revealed location. Headlining the night is DJ Nobu (), a towering figure in global techno who channels chaos into control with unmatched discipline. His sets carry a rare depth. Deceptively restrained, yet devastating in impact. Alongside him, Measure Divide () brings a sound that is precise, surgical, and immersive, carving out moments of sheer intensity. Opening the night, Venus in Foil () sets the tone with raw, dystopian sonics and focused force.

Sunday, May 18th shifts the tempo. A limited-capacity gathering for those willing to go deeper. DVS1 () returns to deliver a rare house set that reflects his roots, where space, groove, and emotional intelligence guide the narrative. He is joined by Circumscums (), whose unpredictable, shape-shifting sets have carved out a singular space in the city’s dance landscape. Milch () opens with warmth, restraint, and a quiet command of tension and release.

Together, these artists form a story not often told. One that moves from harsh industrial edges to warm rhythms. A story for those who still believe in the night as something sacred.

We believe that underground dance culture should be accessible to everyone, including the next generation of music lovers. To make our events more financially inclusive, we’re introducing Student Tickets – a special tier designed to help students be part of the experience.
A valid student ID along with your government-issued ID will be requested at the door. If you can not present student ID at the door, you will have to pay the difference between the student tier ticket purchased and the at door price on the night of the event.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: GENEVA

Being embedded in the GTA underground community, Geneva has spent the past few years playing parties and clubs where music & culture come first. With southern Ontario’s close proximity to Detroit, the birthplace of techno, her invigorating sets draw inspiration from early techno, electro, and Detroit club music.

Geneva consistently demonstrates her passion for electronic music and culture. She co-owns TREMA AUDIO, a Hamilton based techno/electro record label and party series. As well, she hosts her own techno and techno-adjacent night in Hamilton & Toronto; showing local talent and fostering the budding scenes. Geneva also is involved in the community advocating for less harmful party practices, educating ravers, and fostering a safer dance floor space.

Paradox Presents: Sterac + Measure Divide + Geneva
Paradox is thrilled to welcome , the iconic alias of Steve Rachmad, to our next gathering. A pioneer of the music we love, Sterac has been a defining force in electronic music since the early 90s, when he began producing timeless tracks that continue to resonate across dance floors worldwide.

Throughout his illustrious career, Sterac has remained unwaveringly true to his sound, balancing hypnotic, minimal, and groove-driven techno with rich analog warmth and cutting-edge precision. His ability to stay authentic while constantly evolving has solidified his legacy as one of techno’s most revered figures.

From his roots in the Dutch rave scene to headlining the world’s most iconic clubs and festivals, Sterac’s sets are a masterclass in the genre’s past, present, and future. Each performance is a journey that celebrates the purity of techno and its power to connect us all.

Joining him are two exceptional artists: the unstoppable .toronto papi , with his signature warehouse bleeps and bloops, and our very own , making her highly anticipated Paradox debut.

The countdown has begun, and we’re beyond thrilled to unveil something extraordinary for Friday's 3-year anniversary celebration.

We’ve secured an incredible two-room venue—a space that’s as dynamic and layered as the night we have planned. This shift opens the door to an even more immersive, otherworldly experience—something that has to be felt to be believed.

What awaits you:

Upstairs: A dark, minimal space pulsing with energy, featuring a powerful Danley sound system. This is where Circumscums and Takaaki will take us deep into uncharted sonic territory. Prepare for a journey that bends time and space.
Downstairs: A hidden sanctuary. Step into an ambient oasis, where soothing soundscapes set the tone for relaxation. You’ll find cozy spaces to sit or lay back and immerse yourself in ambient music, while being transported by breathtaking projection mapping by and . This room, curated by , will feature:
