Tomorrow night I have the pleasure of seeing one of the biggest influencers on my musical journey, Rabbit in the Moon.
The year was 1995, I was living in Charlotte NC and going through one of the worst breakups in my life, car broke down, had lost my job, and was going to have to move back to Hellkart IN… on my last night of work a fellow employee noticed my depression and asked me to the movies, (thanks forever Tara Robinson!) after which she asked if I was busy the next night, to which I replied nope! Next night, she took me to my first REAL rave, gave me my 1st wafer too! (Iykyk)
It was an all breaks lineup headlined by Simply Jeff, and when he played this RITM remix I lost my fu**in MIND!!!! 🤯🤯🤯 It was the beginning of a very long and unending passion for Breaks, and this track remains in the top 3 most influential songs of my life! Thank you David Christophere, DJ Monk, and Bunny for the incredible music and I’m SO FU**IN STOKED FOR THISSSSS!!!!!!
