We were 2 of 14 designers that were invited by to do florals for Inauguration Ball and each designer had a prototyped example of this arrangement along with a floral recipe to follow! What a total and complete honor this week was for us as we served Arkansas in the most historical Governor Inauguration Ball in Arkansas History! We got a phone call a couple weeks ago asking if we would join the design team for the Inauguration and we immediately said YES! Along with several other hand-picked florists from around this great state we designed floral for 3 days straight to complete this event! It was exciting and taxing, energetic and exhausting, but most of all it was an honor to be a part of something of this caliber. A heartfelt thank you to our dear friend, mentor and floral genius Tanarah, owner of Tanarah Luxe Floral, for asking us to join the troop. Your vision and leadership made it happen and it was a true privilege serving under your influence. Your heart in sharing this event with the entire state of floral artist speaks not only of your character, but also of your heart and it’s to be highly commended. You’re the real MVP.

This weeks endeavor did a lot for Kathryn and I. It was more than networking. It was bigger than floral designing. It was was more than mass production. It was significance that I don’t have the words to write with yet. It was perfect timing, a God send and a true holy moment for us. Who knew that we’d launch our floral company and in less than a month we’d be desinging florals for Arkansas new Governor’s Inaugural Ball?! I mean, wow. We are just so grateful and feel so blessed to know that we are on this right road and in such a happy and joy filled place. Every bit of glory and honor and gratitude goes to God for making a way for us.

Dreams really do come true.

Lance and I are beyond thrilled to be part of the floral design team with for Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ Inaugural Ball! The ball is Tuesday night but Lance was in LR at 8:00am this morning working hard! He and the designers cranked out over 200 huge floral designs in just one day today!! Mind blowing! It’s Tip Tuesday on a Monday hahahahaha (Cannot remember what day it is when my kids are home)!!!
Today’s tip is for all of our bride friends!! The week of your wedding don’t forget to collect all of your cute little details for your photographer! Keep them all in a box or bag so when your photographer arrives they can grab it and get busy! Here’s a list of things you could have in your details box: Invitation suite (every piece to it- envelope, card, RSVP, save the dates, maps, anything you sent), rings (engagement, band(s) and his ring), vows (hire a calligrapher like to write them out for you), earrings, necklace, bracelet, something blue, something borrowed, garter, veil, perfume, your shoes, his shoes, bow tie, cuff links, boutonniere. This hand painted backdrop was such an editorial piece of this photoshoot! Lance painted this with the intent of it portraying a well-aged European landscape. The best art (in paint form, floral form, photography form, etc…) comes through on its own every time. We added the florals to this backdrop to soften the edges and help frame the models but it also served a bigger purpose in elevating the entire art form that is this whole photoshoot. The best thing to do with true art is to show up, let it through and let it go.

It’s favorites Friday!!!! Today we wanted to share some of our favorite up and coming wedding color schemes! For many years the trends have swung into beautiful neutral color pallets but we predict times are changing! We’re seeing lots of bright colors like pinks, yellows, bright greens, oranges and corals making a HUGE comeback for the 2023 wedding scene and we are HERE for it! If you’re just not a bright and colorful kind of person or it just doesn’t fit your venue’s style you can still have color but just bring the tone down a bit! Vibrant and vivid pink can be muted down into a dusty rose or a sunny yellow into a soft pale one. Color is a great way to set your wedding apart from others- so don’t be afraid to add some to your wedding or party color scheme! :)

For our new followers who have joined us in the last few days, HI! I’m Kathryn, or Kat as some call me! :)) Lance, my husband, and I wanted to share a few things about us these next few weeks so people in Instagram and Facebook land can get to know us better!! One of my very favorite things in the whole world is Christmastime! I would have to say my most favorite Christmas tradition to date happen on Christmas Eve! Every year my sons and husband and I gather by the fireplace and light candles. While snuggled up together we read Twas the Night Before Christmas and the Nativity Story in candlelight and sing Christmas songs right before bed! I typically cry because it’s just such a sweet and special moment and well I cry all the time- but that’s another fact for another day haha! This can be anything from wedding design to party gifts or to decorating your home for the holidays! Today’s tip is all about your wedding ceremony design- Don’t forget to plan something beautiful for the back of your aisle! This is the first thing your guests will see when they enter and it will be in almost every wedding ceremony photo! It can be something low and lush or something elevated and luxe! Lance designed this gorgeous parallel garden for Kennedy & Weston’s wedding at this fall! It was the perfect touch! Head to our stories to see some examples of other aisle designs!
