I want to do business with my heart on my sleeve.

As a celebrant for the artists, the creatives, the bohemians, and the big hearted rebels, creating safety is an intentional part of my business practices. Here's how:

•I'm intentional about including diverse love stories on my website, social media, styled shoots, and digital planning guides.

•I ask about ways it might be important for you to honor certain cultural or religious traditions on our first meeting, and include it on the first questionnaire.

•I keep my eye out for beauticians that can work with multiple skin tones and hair textures. I keep an eye out for officiant and DJ's who can serve different spiritual needs and/or speak different languages.

•I use gender neutral language when describing nearlyweds and wedding parties.

•I put my inclusion statement on my website and on my Discovery Guide (what you get when you reach out). All of the vendors I rec will be similarly welcoming.

The way you love, the words you use, and the rituals that make meaning are valued & protected here. It's my way of making the world a little more colorful, a little more welcoming, a little more good. One incredible & affirming celebration at a time.

Here's the secret to an incredible celebration: an incredible guest list.

"This is for the people who feel warm, light, and loving" is just as beautiful as "Everyone is welcome" is just as valid as "This is just for us"

Your invitations extend to anyone you are happy to show up authentically and generously for, and who is happy to do the same with you. From there, the magic of a room full of love takes care of itself.

Adorning yourself in something fabulous to get married in is just one amazing part of the art piece that will be your wedding day. It is an opportunity to show up intentionally, artfully, and authentically.

That's why my couples get access to my Attire Guide as soon as things are official. It's about 50 pages of thoughtful tips and local places to shop, but here's the gist of my best advice:

More than how you look, choosing your wedding attire is about embracing who you are. Your taste, style, and natural beauty- reflected in fabric, color, and formality.

While I won't take credit (that's all you & your story), I consider one of the most important parts of my job maintaining the chill joy you started this process with. Sometimes, couples wonder how much their voice is heard while working with a wedding planner. How will your style, flair, and priorities factor into the creative process? No one wants to get lost in a sea of checklists & to-do’s.

In my neck of the woods, your style, flair, and priorities are Phase I of planning.

There's no assembly line, generic list of to-do's, or "one size fits all" vendor recs. We get to know one another, dive deep into your story, and highlight what matters most in our initial meetings. We set intentions, nurture personal & professional relationships, and consciously create each aspect of your celebration.

I protect this part of my process by limiting the amount of weddings I take on each year, pouring all my heart and creativity into a select group of incredible clients who want to partner closely to create something heartfelt. We get to form a trusting relationship where you know someone's got your back & sees your story - inclusive of quirks and flair.
