We have been blessed to have Laura from Laura Toito Photography take our Spring/Mother's Day Minis with your family. If your family are looking to take some beautiful Spring photos we will be heading to the Westhaus this season for their stunning space.

Sessions are on Sunday, April 30th starting at 11:30am . Mini sessions are 20 minutes and include atleast 30 edited photographs.

We will only be hosting 6 sessions so reserve your spot today! Each session pops up as individual - they are all the time-slots

Anyone else get super excited when buying things locally?!! As much as I appreciate the quick Amazon buy in emergencies purchasing meaningful gifts that support our local Canadian small companies really is the go to!

I picked up some amazing Montessori gifts for my daughter and all the kids for Christmas this year! Shipping was SOO fast and I’m so excited to be giving them all quality gifts this year that will contribute to their development!

I also snuck in some tools to utilize in my sensory programs!

Our 6 week Sensory Exploration Program is starting this Thursday, Nov 10th at 9:30 & 11:00

Weekly drop ins available (only 5 spots for each group)

Themes we will be covering include songs, seasons, colours, animals, edible and finishing off with Christmas for our last week!

Music ignites all areas of child development and skills for school readiness, including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together. Exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words. Dancing to music helps children build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. For children and adults, music helps strengthen memory skills.

In addition to the developmental benefits, music brings us joy. Just think about listening to a good song in the car with the window down on a beautiful day.

Some fun activities you can do at home with your Little’s could include:

For infants: Infants recognize the melody of a song long before they understand the words. Quiet background music can be soothing for infants, especially during sleep time. Sing simple, short songs to infants. Try making up one or two lines about bathing, dressing, or eating to sing to them while you do these activities.

For toddlers: Toddlers love to dance and move to music. The key to toddler music is repetition, which encourages language and memorization. Silly songs make toddlers laugh. Try singing a familiar song and inserting a silly word in place of the correct word, like “Mary had a little spider” instead of lamb. Let children reproduce rhythms by clapping or tapping objects.
