Good morning everybody!

First of all we would like to thank the birthday committee, Bæstet 3.0, the Bilka marathon crew, Oasen, Huset and all of you guys for an amazing start to this year's birthday!

But now that the birthday is underway we also know that it's time for semifinals in all three competitions 🤩🤩🤩

Starting with football, then basketball, and afterwards, volleyball, we have the following matches:

Football quarterfinals are here 🤯🤯🤯

Today at 16.20, the quarterfinals start, and we have four crazy matches for you! And in the perfect weather aswell!

16.20: 3361 - 3162
17.00: 1363/64 - 3063
17.40: 3363 - 1064
18.20: 3263 - 3364

From now on all football matches has been moved behind block 3, with a lot more space for spectators, and a near perfect and flat field for quality football. So grab some blankets, beers and your friends and go for some afternoon/evening entertainment at HCØ!

3rd place play-in for volleyball has been rescheduled to tomorrow due to lack of players today. But at 17.00 the first 3rd place match in football will be played. 1064-3263,come and watch!

Information about the finals and 3rd place play-in tournament. Long post - Scroll to bottom for results.

Hello everybody, next week will be an eventful week.

On monday we will know the final participants for the play-in tournament for football and volleyball.

These matches will decide which kitchens will go through to the quarterfinals.

VOLLEYBALL:

The play-in matches for volleyball will be played on Tuesday from 16:20

In group 1, last years finalists (1064) have secured the 1st place with nothing but victories! On a tight 2nd place we have 1063 for the first time in many years (if not ever). In 3rd place we have 3363, who will play for their spot in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.

In group 2, 3361 have won all their matches and are ready for the finals. On second place we have 1364 who will once again play 1064 in a quarterfinal. On an extremely close race for 3rd place we have 3164 just ahead of 3264 and 3062.

In group 3, Defending champions, blok 2 have won all matches and gets 1st place. On 2nd place we have another surprise, 1263 have played well and won 4 matches to secure 2nd place. 3061 gets 3rd place and will play on Tuesday.

Tuesdays matches are as follows:

16.20: 3363 vs. 3164.
17.00: 3164 vs. 3061.
17.40: 3061 vs. 3363.

FOOTBALL:

In group 1, 3361 have taken 1st place, but still have one important match left tomorrow. 2nd place goes to 3063. 3rd place is still in play! right now 3062 have it, but if 3164 can win against 3361, then they have 3rd place!

In group 2, 1363/64 have won it all and sits on top!, 3162 takes 2nd place, 1064 grab 3rd place with just one win.

In group 3, we have a very important match tomorrow. 3363 - 3364 are contesting for 1st place, 3364 need a win to secure it, 3363 just needs a draw.

Third place matches will be played monday - wednesday or tuesday - thursday, depending on tomorrows outcome.

BASKETBALL:

In group 1, 3364 have 1st place, with 3063/64 on 2nd place, closely behind, in 3rd place is 3363, and 4th place goes to 3264.

In group 2, 3361 have clinched 1st place (have they even lost a match?), 3062 and 1064 will compete for 2nd place tomorrow at 16.20, 4th place goes to 1264.

Hello everybody!

It would be a really good idea if all kitchens mark their games in the tournament plan. If you spot any mistakes, such as your kitchen having two games at the same time in different sports please let us know as soon as possible. Sorry for the inconvenience, but making such a tournament plan is always troublesome, no matter how many volunteering souls, software engineers and dataoligists you throw at it. We appreciate them all the same, no matter what problem might occur. ❤️

We already love seeing y'all started practicing 😍.

Remember to sign up for the tournament, many kitchen have already delivered their admission.

NOTE: we made a mistake in the date of the deadline, the paper says Saturday the 6th of March, it is in fact the 5th, but it is still Saturday 5th of March and NOT Sunday 6th of March.

Hello everybody!

As you might have guessed it is time for the annual tournament. Sign-up papers have been delivered to your kitchen!

As you might have seen, we also need volunteers to help out during the tournament. This summer 90% of FIFA will be moving out, therefore, new people are needed to organize and referee next year's tournament. Helping out this year will give you some good insight into how things work.

Block 2, sign up for you guys will be organized in your Facebook group.

We can't wait to see you all bringing back the outdoor life to hcø this spring!

Så vil vi gerne sige mange tak til alle der var med til årets turnering og ikke mindst en fantastisk finale uge!

Nu hvor tømmermændene har lagt sig, vil vi alle i fifa sige tak til alle der bidrog med lækkert spil, god stemning og atmosfære. Det har igen i år været en utrolig spændende turnering og de rigtige vindere er fundet i alle discipliner.

I fodbold løb 3363 med pokalen i en fantastisk kamp mod deres nabokøkken og de forsvarende mestre fra 3364.

I basketball satte 3363/64 alt og alle på plads og tog også en sikker sejr i finalen, igen imod de forsvarende mestre fra 3063.

I volleyball var der så ikke plads til 3363, men til gengæld skruede blok 2 og 1064 op for underholdningen i den nok tætteste volleykamp i HCØ's historie. Blok 2 løb her med sejren i et tæt 3. Og afgørende sæt som endte 21-19.

Tillykke til alle vinderne og tillykke til alle som var med til at gøre en uofficiel fødselsdag til noget helt specielt.

Årets detalje er stadig ikke fundet.

Vi glæder os til at se jer alle igen til næste år, denne gang til et brag af en turnering under en rigtig HCØ fødselsdag

Today is the big day!

Today the finals start and we are super excited to see everybody come out and play, or watch your friends play.

Due to rescheduling of the first match, we will start the finals with kitchen 3363/64 vs. 1064 in basketball!

Final results of the groups in basketball and football are in! If you are wondering why you haven't been contacted about volleyball even though you feel you have secured the 1st or 2nd spot in the group, its because we are still making sure we have the right results. Congratulations to all who have progressed into the finals, and thanks to everybody for participating, it has been truly amazing seeing the HCØ spirit come to life after a long year of lockdown! We hope to see more of this even though the group stages and the official matches are over until the birthday! Keep playing and stay awesome!

Monday through wednesday basketball and football matches will be played, these are very important games. The 3rd place teams will battle out to secure the last spots in the quarter-finals! Come out and watch it's gonna be some intense matches!!!

Good morning folks!

When you submit the results for the match that you officiated, please be sure to write which sport it was, it is
also equally important to submit the score from each set in volleyball, as the points scored can play a role in deciding who goes through.

Please remember this, it can be quite confusing keeping track of all the results from 3 different sports😉

First week of competition is over and it has been a blast!

We have had a lot of great matches in basketball and football, but we only just got started with volleyball.

Next week the weather will hopefully be better!

🏆🏆🏆 KITCHEN TOURNAMENT 🏆🏆🏆

The day has come!

Today our beloved kitchen tournament begins after a break that has been way to long! We begin with basketball at 16.20 today with a match between 3063 and 3363/3364. Will the defending champions (3063) be able to secure some early points in their group? 👀👀

IMPORTANT!
As you know, the winning team has to referee the game being played after their own. Usually this is done with a piece of paper that FIFA supplies, but due to the nature of the current situation we ask that you either bring your own paper and pen or use a phone to keep score, then afterwards send the result to us here on Facebook.

Be sure to stay safe and if by any chance your kitchen is stuck in a corona related situation and cannot be able to participate, you can always ask for a reschedule and then we will see what can be done :)

FYI
On saturday, Oasen is hosting the annual banner painting event, be sure to come down and create a banner that does your kitchens awesomess justice!

The tournament plan has finally been delivered to all participating kitchens!

If the kitchen door was locked when we were delivering, then the plan has been dropped off at the contact person for that kitchen.

Hopefully a new batch of sand will be delivered for the volleyball court before the first games, we don't know yet, but it will come. Don't worry we still have lots of sand anyway!

Be sure to notice the new addition in the volleyball rule set: It is now allowed for each team to have 6 players on the court at all times!

The plan will also be uploaded in pdf format on the HCØ Facebook group. (In the printed version it says 2020 on some pages, that is a minor mistake 😅)

🏆🏆🏆 New start date! 🏆🏆🏆

Hello everybody!

We are happy to share with you that we have decided to start the tournament on May 3rd. Due to new outdoor restrictictions, we have decided to get the tournament started earlier so that we can play all the group stage games before too many of you guys start your exams 😅. We will not be using the new rules we mentioned in our last post, so the games can be played with the maximum number of players allowed.

The games for all the different tournaments will start at 4 pm. during the weekdays. The tournament plan with all the matches and rules will be dropped off at your kitchens contact person during the coming days! (if your contact person is not at the dorm, let us know so that we can drop it off somewhere else).

We are super excited to see all you guys competing for your kitchen and for the ultimate praise as the best sports kitchen (or block 2) at HCØ!

Remember to still be careful and to not gather in larger groups if you come to spectate the matches, we are after all still in an ongoing pandemic, so get tested regularly!

Stay safe and happy, and bring your A-game in the following weeks!! 👊👊

🏆🏆🏆 Postponing the tournament and sign-up deadline! 🏆🏆🏆

Hello everyone!

Because of the ongoing situation we have decided to postpone the tournament start. The new start date will be on May 10th. Because of this we have also decided to give you guys one more week to sign up if you forgot! The new deadline for signing up is sunday the 18th at 12.00 pm.

Some new rules may be applicable, such as:

- Reducing the size of football and volleyball teams to 4 players per team to abide the current 10 person restriction. If you have substitutes coming, they should wait at a distance from the playing field.

- No spectators at the games. (Cheer from your rooms or kitchen! 🥳🥳)

We hope that we won't have these new rules apply, but for the safety of us all, we feel that it is best to reduce the amount of people present at each game.

🏆🏆🏆 KITCHEN TOURNAMENT 🏆🏆🏆

We are happy to invite all residents at H.C. Ørstedkollegiet to this years annual kitchen tournament!

Even though the current restrictions does not allow for such a tournament, we are ready for when it becomes possible. Last years tournament was cancelled just as it was started. This year we hope to be able to play as soon as April 22. We assure that we intend to follow and respect all the recommendations and restrictions that are in effect. This is simply a registration for this years tournament to allow all of you to show us that you are interested and so that we can plan all the matches, the birthday party set in July allows for a very flexible tournament, and we might need to change the dates so be aware of that.

This years registration is online, you will have to send the information on the registration to us via our page, a simple message with the needed information is enough.

In addition to this post, we have put up registration papers in the main entrances of block 1 and 3, feel free to grab one for your kitchen. Registration for block 2 will be through their page by Christina Hald.
