So, since prom is over the question is 'What's Next?' Well, I've thought about turning this into a legitimate nonprofit where I could raise money for all high school seniors in our area, who can't afford to go to prom, could go. I'm tossing around a few ideas.

•This weekend I'll be busy getting out thank you cards to those who sent donations.

•Oh I almost forgot... I did not win that magazine contest but I do appreciate EVERYONE who voted for me. I still will be IN the magazine and I'll take a pic of it when it comes out. It's a honor to be included with all the other amazing inspiring teens.

•Now that I'm 18, I can officially join my family's Halloween nonprofit Croydon Haunted Hollows as a board member. I'll be the volunteer director and I'm really looking forward to this years haunt. We also do a sensory friendly haunt for families with autistic children so definitely check us out.

A message from Shannon's Mom: Shannon was nominated to be in Inspiring Teens Magazine and she made it to the final round!! To vote for her, it's a $5 donation. The magazine uses the donations to give out scholarships and she's in the running to get one. Regardless who gets the most votes, her name will be in the magazine. When I was little I always wore dresses and they had to twirl! So when I was bad, they would take my dresses away. I learned my lesson real quick. I started this prom because I wanted to dress up, dance with my friends and just have a magical time and it grew into so much more. Thanks for following along!
