I think our efforts in the Tacoma area would benefit greatly from a more centralized organization. Someone to help us plan, communicate, and hopefully down the line assist with resources for events. Which is why I’m proposing we move to make a Black Lives matter group in Tacoma.
My plan at the moment is to get social media pages up and running. Once that’s done we can start reaching out to people hosting events in the area to see how best to assist them. Wether it’s by helping find volunteers, connecting them with other local groups, locating additional resources, or even just helping to coordinate. The idea is that we’ll be able to help groups plan and set up events while also helping to keep protesters informed and up to date on what’s happening.
