Getting to DJ at one of my favorite venues in Denver is something that I’m pretty stoked about. I’ve been going to the @beacondenver ever since it first opened and it’s always been an amazing spot. When I first moved to Denver a little over 2 and a half years ago, I knew pretty much no one here. I would go out on the weekends, completely alone, and party with total strangers. As to be expected, that could be pretty hit or miss at a lot of places. The Beacon was actually one of the few spots that felt entirely different to me. It was a place where I would consistently meet good people and actually started making friendships. Instead of being treated weird for going out alone, people welcomed me with open arms every time I went to the Beacon. This came at a time when I was desperately lonely. Knowing no one in Denver and just coming out of a super isolating pandemic. I cannot even fully describe just how much the Beacon helped me during that time. It was a place that I could go to experience good vibes and real connection. And it has been incredibly healing for me. The world we are living in is honestly pretty backwards. So many people grow up and they become insanely boring. They mistakenly believe that friendships no longer matter. They mistakenly believe there is no need for community. In my personal opinion, real human connection is something that we all need. And also time to let loose, play, and express ourselves in an accepting space with good vibes. It’s amazing to see a place like Beacon curating that special container. On that note, I’m also extremely grateful to @vibrateyourbestenergy and for all the amazing events they are throwing. This is definitely a community you want to check out if you’re looking for a place to just exist and be yourself. Everyone is extremely welcoming and they throw events across Denver. There’s actually one coming up this Sunday at Cheesman Park. So come on out and vibe out with the community! 💚🐸
