These songs are both calming and uplifting and local song leader Emma is a brilliant teacher with a warm informal style that makes anyone feel comfortable to have a go and sing.

This Sat 2nd Dec various local makers and organisations passionate about reusing & recycling will be coming together at our little venue for the first Love Christmas event 🌟 quilting_green will be there with beautifully hand-sewn items all made from found fabrics and we’ve got local produce including local honey, but more on that later! 🐝

Here’s a Christmas event with a heart 💚- a twinkly, festive little gift fair and info hub with an emphasis on sustainability
🌟
All gifts are produced locally by makers with recycle and reuse at their heart.
Whether it's beautiful, handmade quilts made from vintage fabrics, recycled yarn crochet, pre-loved kids clothing or fab retro finds, this handful of sellers represents the kinder side of Christmas 💚

There will also be local produce and plants for sale and a "Local Experiences" board where you can see which brilliant Letchworth businesses offer vouchers or experiences 😃

Examples of more eco-friendly gift wrapping will be on show, a food educator will be on hand to give handy hints and tips on reducing your food waste this festive season and local sustainability advisor .consulting will be available to answer any other questions you might have about living in a way that's kinder to our planet 🌍And...there'll be mulled wine too :)🍷

What's more the reindeer will be our neighbours in The Wynd that day from 10-4 and we've heard tell there's even going to be a festive choir in town too - so put the date in your diary!

There will be a chance to try a selection of seasonal beers from .brewing & and learn about beer styles from all around the world.
We will have copies of Jonny’s book ‘A Year in Beer’ available to buy - and of course many more beers, ciders, vinos and softies available next door to sup whilst you listen!

About the book: We live in a worldwide boom-time for beer, but the amount of different styles to discover may feel overwhelming to new beer drinkers. The beers we’re in the mood for often change with the weather, seasonal activities, or the holiday calendar. Starting in the summer, then moving on to autumn, winter, and spring, each chapter of the book will introduce the beer styles from around the world that best suit that season.

We've organised an afternoon just for you, celebrating the diverse literary creativity and endeavour that LGC has to offer 🌟
Sat 17th June 1-5pm

'Work in progress' readings from up-and-coming talent from
Readings, talks and Q&A from published authors including & Elizabeth Barber.

There's even a family-friendly writing and drawing workshop to inspire little ones after or before a visit to or 🍦
(You can also take in drinks from 💚👌🍻)

We've even got the fab team involved - because what they don’t know about books isn’t worth knowing and what's not to love about a joined-up town? 😎

So come on down, it's FREE and drop-in so no need to book - but do get there early if there's something specific you want to see as it's an intimate venue and seating is limited.
This is the first event of this kind in recent years so please come down and support us in the hope it will be the first of many!🙌

On Sunday 11th June as part of the we’ll be hosting an exhibition of Graduate and Independent films by local creatives🎬🎞️

The films will be shown on a loop from 12-4pm with start times displayed outside the Storeroom.
From 4-6pm there will be screenings hosted by Natalie Pailing with Q&A from the film makers of the selected Indie films.

Film and Film Makers info:
Natalie Pailing grew up in Lincolnshire before training as an actor in London. She starred in various shows on the Fringe Theatre circuit and in short films that have been screened internationally at BAFTA/BIFA qualifying films festivals. Having earned her degree in Directing and Screenwriting, Natalie is now working on making shorts and features under Eris Productions, which she founded with fellow actor/filmmaker, Hayley May Muirhead.

Natalie will be screening ‘Plan C’


Hayley May Muirhead is a Scottish actor/writer/director based in London. She trained at Fourth Monkey Theatre Company and in Clown at Ecole Philippe Gaulier near Paris. She also has a degree from Raindance Film School and her short films have been screened at BAFTA qualifying film festivals.

Hayley May is screening ’Smooch’



Mark Kuczewski is a cinematographer and director based in Letchworth. He gained his MA in Filmmaking from London Film School and has since won awards for his cinematography, been screened at BAFTA qualifying film festivals and has been staff picked on Vimeo.

Mark is screening his film ‘A bit to eat’

Ben Smith recently finished university studying film. Since finishing he’s become a freelance videographer shooting and editing music videos, wedding videos and everything in between.

Bradley Martin is a local videographer who has worked on many films about local community projects.
