I love using interesting vessels for the bouquets I use for my clients. I don’t know how long the land will give me zinnias before the first frost, but I’ll take everyone I can get! 😍

At this point in the year, we play a game here in the midlands of South Carolina called “Will the first frost happen in November or will it be 80 degrees on Thanksgiving?” 😆 Last night we got CLOSE- a low of 37 degrees 😱🥶 The flowers survived the night and it looks like we are going to have another couple weeks of warm fall weather which means more bouquet-making! 🥳 I’ve had a blast making bouquets for awesome people this season so far. What a blessing to have the season extended a little longer and share the beauty of flowers with others! 🙏🏼

New garden lights or prep for Halloween tomorrow? 🎃 👻 I only got 4, and I’ve decided I need a gazillion more. I might kind of love old lanterns. What a fun little way to dress up the entrance to my cutting garden! ✨

Do you see the pink flower towards the bottom of the bouquet? That’s from a rogue zinnia seed that found its way in one of my seed packets this year. I’ve not really known what to do with it until today! I found some other zinnias in the garden that had a pink ring around the center of the flower that matches the other flower perfectly. It was so fun using that color as a guide when I designed this bouquet. Only using flowers from my garden is an interesting challenge that has really tested my creativity. It’s been fun to see what is created. I have lots to learn about floral design still but the journey is well worth the effort!

The colors of fall may be my absolute favorite. 😍 We live in South Carolina, and we (meaning mostly my husband 😆) are definitely USC fans, and my husband jokingly says we aren’t allowed to have any orange in the house... apparently I don’t listen very well. 🤣

Before and during! My handsome helped me build new beds for our 2021 cutting garden! It’s tiny but it’s mine and I’m so excited I can hardly stand it! Oh the flowers I’ll grow next year. 😍

FLOWER THERAPY. I heard this term for the first time this evening. I was a little down today, and I wasn’t expecting to experience the healing I felt when I went to harvest flowers tonight, but I did, and I am so grateful. I love this part of flower farming just as much as I love the making of bouquets.
