If you haven't noticed, we're pretty obsessed with texture. We may have kept the color palette simple for our styled shoot last month, but if you look closely you can see a soft sheen to the table linen, gauzy napkins, and scalloped edges. Not to mention, the wave of the floral pieces, inspired by the sea.

What is your favorite detail when it comes to tablescapes? Linen? Paper goods? Florals?There was no shortage of inspiration when it came to this colorful International Women's Day shoot. We started with a couple of ideas for a color palette before landing on what can only be described as HOT everything. Throw in a couple of disco balls, floral vintage-inspired glassware, and colored tapers...we had a party!

Did someone say hanging installation?*pulls car over to side of road to "borrow" some pretty flowering tree branches*

We love our florist friends right?? And we can't share this shoot (incredible installation and all) without appreciating the women (and behind-the-scenes husband!) who made it happen. We all spend so many hours behind the scenes creating mood boards, sending late night textts, and scavenging the internet (or interstate) for *just the right* element that will bring it all together.

Last month we celebrated our last wedding of the year with Cait + David, and last weekend we celebrated with our last event of the year - a surprise 40th birthday party at . Last week's relaunch wouldn't have been nearly as successful without the TEAM of hype women behind the scenes.This week (and every day) I am unendingly thankful for who keeps my head on straight and organized, but especially for her dry sense of humor which I could not do without. I'm thankful for for being my cheerleader, friend, photographer, and even one of my brides - every random hour text is answered and I love your enthusiasm for Unfolding. Of course, I'm thankful for my family (cutie pic tomorrow), who drove me to do something I love every day, and to be more present for them along the way.

Special shoutouts and thanks to for making me laugh during our shoot, and for making me feel so comfortable, ALWAYS. To for always being down to flower for whatever crazy idea I have next. To for being our surprise guest and BTS keeper, for letting us crash your space, and for being willing to loan me a chair for our interview session without really even asking why, but wanting to be helpful in any way.

Lastly, thanks to for the most beautiful branding. It captures Unfolding perfectly, and I can't wait to see where we're able to take it.

With eight years of experience in the event + hospitality industry, I've seen a thing or two (ask me about that hotel service life). My background is what makes me who I am, so I thought I would share some of it with you!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + I started in the wedding industry as an intern for a local wedding planner, and later worked on their team as an event assistant for six years.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + I've worked as an event manager, senior event manager, and sales manager in two hotels, a catering company, museum, and financial technology company, producing events as small as a few people, to several hundred, in the midwest and beyond.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + Besides loving the design aspect of weddings, you can find me deep diving into food and beverage inspiration.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + I'm a chocolate chip cookie-a-holic, and have been told I make some of the best ever (which was ironically what I was worst at in culinary school).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + You read that right, I went to a year of culinary school to study pastry!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ + I have a big family...I married my best friend and together we have four little boys, two cats, and a dog.
