Aside from the Astros excitement, there are so many Fall Festivals, including the Bayou City Art Festival, Miller Outdoor Theatre events, and Discovery Green events. Thank goodness we can get back out and boogie! If dancing is your thing (or even if it's isn't but you'd like it to be), try one of Latin Dance Factory 's daily dance lessons/socials. You'll get hands-on in instruction, a chance to dance with rotating partners, and an unstructured time with DJ afterwards. Go for the lesson, stay for the party 💃 See their page for all the details.

I feel the need for speed (dating). A great spot near midtown, with a great outdoor patio and good drink options. They like to mix it up with various themed events almost every night of the week. If you've never been, speed dating is a lot of fun. You get to have lots of short conversations, usually with a conversation starter and timer. Then, on to the next one! If you click with anyone, you're free to follow up during the unstructured portion later. Go on your own or bring a group of friends and have some stories to tell later.

A great find in the heart of Upper Kirby. Eighteen36. Best known for their mixologists, but they also have an eclectic and reasonably priced menu, from Greek influenced items to crowd favorites like quesadillas and pitza (Greek take on a pizza). Enjoy their relaxing patio area as well.

Thinking back to this pizza from yesterday. Buffalo Bayou Brewery is one of the few breweries in town still allowed to take dine in patrons. It's also Houston Restaurant week so lots of places have special menus for the week. Be safe and enjoy Houston.

As venues start to reopen, we will try to keep you updated. Here's a great location, good vibe, and great craft brews overlooking Houston. Also, starting this week, they are creating a drive-in movie experience projected onto the nearby silos. What a great way to get out of the house, practice social distancing and still support local business.
