Meant to post these a long time ago! I made a field trip to Hickory Lane Horse Farm to check out their operation! Got to visit stallions McArdle, Racing Hill, & Uncle Peter! Also got to see an exceptionally beautiful Racing Hill weanling filly, a Lather Up weanling, and Annapolis, mother of It's Academic, and her Cantab Hall weanling c**t! Thanks to Ashley Sweat-Stickel, and the rest of the Hickory Lane crew for having me!

The 2nd Annual Invitational was won by Workin Ona Mystery, making him a repeat winner of the event! He's trained by Brian Brown and driven to victory by Ronnie Wrenn Jr.! Thanks to Scioto Downs for having me as a part of their team this weekend! Gucci made her first trip to Scioto, and I got to meet Elver Hanover!

Weekly Fair Racing Update
Less than 3 weeks ago, the top 3 drivers at the Ohio Fairs were separated by 20 wins... now they are separated by just 6 wins! This race is going to go to the wire in mid-October! Here's the top 10 drivers so far this summer:

Shared the comeback story of my buddy B.J. Roberts on the Napoleon Fair Racing Broadcast this week! On Tuesday night at Napoleon, BJ won with the 3 Year Old Trotting Filly, Irish Princess. It may have seemed like a normal win to some, but most people don't know that Irish Princess nearly took BJ's life in February of 2020! She kicked BJ in the stomach in the barn, and he was just 60 seconds away from death when he got to the hospital! Like I said on the broadcast, "In a matter of 18 months, you go from Irish Princess nearly taking your life to her taking you into the winner's circle!" Congrats again to BJ on the victory, and I wish him nothing but success on the rest of his comeback 2021 season!

I made my mascot debut last week! I've wanted to be a mascot so badly my entire life, but I've always been too big for the costume! Granted... this costume needed some modifications to fit me, but in the end, it worked! Hope everyone had as much fun as I did, and I'll be back throwing shirts soon!

Getting ready for the Auglaize County Fair!

Harness racing returns to the Auglaize County Fair in Wapak Tuesday & Wednesday August 3rd & 4th at 6:30PM! Come on out and have some fun for all ages! Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association mascot Willie Win It will be handing out trading cards, t-shirts, and coloring books! I’m working on getting drivers to come over to the grandstand side to sign autographs and take pictures as well! The OHHA “Racing with the Stars” tent will be doing trivia for prizes and other fun giveaways! If it’s your first time coming to the races, come find me and I’ll make sure you get a nice welcome! Look for the horse mascot, and I’ll be close by! 🐎

Training - March 17, 2021

I miss getting to talk to everyone on the Scott Trot page lately, but here's a little of what I've been up to! I trained DH Rockin Artist (3CP by Rockin Amadeus) from the @DarkHorse Syndicate Racing LLC stable yesterday in 2:54 on his first trip! Hope everyone is doing well, and I'll try to get the Paddock Party up and started again soon!

Gucci visits Hoosier & Paige!

Our mini sheepadoodle mascot, Gucci, visits her favorite four-legged friends of a different kind: Hoosier Hypnotic & Paige Two!

Fun In The Halls jogging for the first time in 8 years!

I got to be part of a special moment at the barn yesterday! 14 year old gelding, Fun In the Halls (by Full Of Fun), jogged for the first time since being retired 8 years ago! "Funny", as he's called, can be quite the handful around the barn, but for some reason, I've always had a connection with him! So, Tim Ignarski said if I was serious about trying to bring him back, he would give me a chance! I gave Funny a week of exercise and turnout to get him loosened up, and he jogged a mile and a half yesterday! Will he ever race again? Maybe not. I'd love to give it a try for fun if there's any races for older horses like him though! If nothing else, he'll get some exercise every once in awhile for old time sake! Job well done, Funny!
