The Miss Shining Star Registration is still open for both Contestants and Buddies! Miss Shining Star is a Special Needs Beauty Pageant open to girls and guys ages 7+. This event is a fundraiser to benefit the Greer High School Special Needs Department and will be held on July 17th at Taylors First Baptist Church in Taylors, SC. We would love as many people as possible to get involved and help make this Special day a Shining Success!

For Contestants:

Contestant registration is $20. Contestants may wear whatever they wish for the pageant! You will need to arrive between 8am-9am and will be finished by 2pm. Each contestant will be given a band to wear based on sensory issues so that every effort can be made to ensure each Contestant has the best day possible! Because this is a Fundraiser, and Contestant cost is so low, families and friends of the Contestants will need to purchase tickets to watch the Pageant. Tickets to watch the Pageant are $10 each.

To volunteer as a Buddy for this Pageant you must be 15 years and up. Buddy responsibilities include helping the contestant get ready for the Pageant, remaining with the Contestant at all times, and assisting the Contestant as needed. Buddies need to arrive at 8 am and be able to stay until the end of the Pageant (around 2-3 pm).

No pageant is complete with out judges. We are looking for Guys and Gals. Interested in being a Judge for this amazing event please contact Shane at [email protected] for details.
