El-Bruto started DJ’ing in 1999 and quickly carved out a niche for himself with his unique, high powered and chemically-charged techno sets that he could be found banging out at free parties, most weekends in the Forest of Dean and across the South-West. El-Bruto moved to Bristol in 2001 when there seemed to be a banging techno party almost every weekend and was quickly offered a residency at Beat

s Reality where he regularly played alongside some of his major influences such as Dave the Drummer and the Stay up Forever crew. El-Bruto also co-promoted the Tribalectic nights at Lakota and ran the Tribalectic sound system. In addition, he could also be found creating mayhem at the Audio Asylum and Battleground parties which rapidly gained him notoriety for his relentless, high-energy antics behind the decks. After a few years out of the scene being a Dad to his twins and dealing with general life, El-Bruto reignited his passion for the scene during Lockdown and can be found regularly playing LiveStreams with his old crew on the FODLiveStreams collective
