🚨 Attention Vendors! 🚨

We want to help everyone stay safe and informed. Each event, we get vendors reaching out, asking if they paid the right person — but sadly, some payments go to scammers pretending to be part of our market.

🛑 Quick tips to spot scams:

- Check their profile: Are people reacting with 😠 angry reactions to their profile picture? That’s a big red flag. Is their profile generic, with conflicting info or suspicious details? Are most friends or commenters from other countries? Red flags, but always stay cautious!
- Verify details: Do their comments about spots match the original poster? Does the account claiming spots look the same as the one that posted?
- Payment safety: Never pay friends/family via PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo without "goods/services" turned on (unless you really know the person). Always request an invoice if paying through Zelle or Venmo. Claim - you are a business, you need it for your taxes.

🤔 Suspect a scam? Here’s what to do:
1. Confirm with the venue if there’s an actual event scheduled.
2. Ask in vendor groups or trusted contacts if they’ve heard of the person.
3. If you’ve been scammed, report it to local police and try to reverse charges on your credit card.

⚠️ Remember: We’re not responsible for scammers. Always double-check before paying!
