noopsididitagain Marketing Consultant, Corporate Events & Weddings Planner, Travel Experiences, Wine & Spirits Tasti

Life has always been about exploring, trying new things, lots of laughs, work, travelling, events, marketing, living & working in India, Europe, the Middle East, and occasionally (okay more than the occasional), those ‘Oops I Did It Again’ moments, way before Britney Spears sang about it. Of course, some of the reactions were with awe, a lot of them with pride, some with a learning lesson, but mos

tly always about what Nupura aka Noops could deliver again, and we definitely take great pride in that. Hence the decision some 3 years back to launch the brand ’Noops I Did It Again’, that started my entrepreneurial journey again after a short sabbatical. Breaking out on my own, gave me a few other things to do, started writing for publications like The Hindu, LBB Goa and many more. Took up WSET certification, kicked off the Goa chapter of Sofar Sounds, to explore more of indie music, not just in Goa but from across the country and the world. Post the lockdown, also gave birth to Gypsy Gigs, a once a month live music gig, that travels across Goa to offbeat venues, with limited seating, and always a new indie artist showcasing their original sound to an audience that really loves to listen to live music in an intimate setting. What started out as a fun way of showing my friends the off beat side of Goa, lead to me being an Experiences Host for small curated guests, form just a couple to a small group of 7-8. All of this and my 22 plus years of Marketing, PR & Events experience has let to an amalgamation of all the things I have learnt, love to do and share with others. Today, ‘Noops I Did It Again’ is all about the various services and skills that I can offer under this single brand entity. So be it working out a Brand & Marketing strategy for clients, bespoke, intimate, wine or spirits events, that offer tasting or training sessions, or the Airbnb or private experiences about discovering Goa’s local & off beat bars, as well as the artisanal and craft spirits made here, curating artists for events, writing, creating marketing content, wedding planning, corporate events, designing marketing campaigns, are all the things that energise and excite me. As the Chief Madhatter, I am all about creating unique concepts, thinking out of the box, ensuring that everyone says.......’Noops Did It Again’
Based out of Goa for the last nearly 6 years, with a team in Mumbai and here, and a network of associates all across the world, we are of course am open to travelling to any part of the world, especially if it is for a project that excites all of us.

Always fun to meet new artists, producers, and pretty much anyone who is associated in the indie music scene at in Bombay.

Lots of learning, making new connections & bumping into old friends.
Also lots of hits & misses with the organization but as we gear up for the last day today.

Hahahaha......going through old albums found this one taken during a Cattle Drive reenactment that they do for visitors at Fort Worth near Dallas in Texas circa 2008.

Though it doesn't show, I was definitely scared shirtless coz this Bull had really long horns that were cms away from my belly & from picking me up n throwing me off, not to mention his size 😁
But Hey...I tell myself that I rode and conquered that too in Texas....Hee Haw! 😎🤠😍

Should have stolen Hannu's Stetson Hat & Cowboy Boots for this one...problem is he still refuses to share them even now...forget then when they were Brand New 🤣

but then again... I'm happier living the experiences and then posting about them when I have nothing better to do 😁

But this was a really fun & interesting experience with the Brand Ambassador for Whiskey in India.
All of us got to make our own blended whiskeys using the 5 different brands from the parent company 's portfolio that Myles had selected...and after all the tasting...even got to take our blends home 😍
Took my back to all the Distilleries we visited when last in Scotland.

The setting at the
was definitely way better than the chemistry lab we had at school....not to mention the indulgent food they served us to go along with our attempts at being Whiskey Blenders!

Thanks again
Myles, The Second House Team, Bacardi Team for this fun evening.

This Sloppy Joe Chicken Burger was daring me to chomp it down.....I showed him who's the boss 😁

Finally made it to the well known in Coonoor and now in Goa... located in Caranzalem.
Simple & cutely done up Cafe serving some really good burgers & thin crust pizzas made with a whole wheat base, all in-house. They even do half & half pizzas, so we got to try the Pork Pepperoni & Peri Peri Chicken ones, which were both delicious. And to add that extra zing, we ordered some a nice kicker the Wasabi Hungcurd Dip.
The Beef Burger that hubby had was also just fab.

Though was disappointed that they didn't have the Cheesecake available that evening, but the Salted Caramel Ice-cream that again they make in-house was absolutely perfect to end the meal on a sweet note.
The Cafe is well priced too ( for example we paid a bill of Rs: 1800 for 2 burgers, 1 pizza & 1 dessert), and though currently doesn't serve alcohol, are planning to start serving once they have their license.

Have known Jaggy & his wife Amika for a while, but was nice to meet the man behind this brand Priyak too, and learn about his journey from journalism to F & B. Great going all of you & wishing you the best.

Definitely going back to try out more stuff on the menu. 😍

..... are never complete without meeting my wonderful friends and indulging in food 😍

Of course I forget more times than I remember to take pictures with everyone and everything, but the memories will always stay.

Like the yummy Pav Bhaji from Shiv Sagar, or the Amritsari Fish from Jai Jawan, or the yummy Chole Bhathure at the Thakur home, or the absolutely great Maharashtrian comfort food of Aamras Puri, along with the sukkha Batata bhaji at the Ghee walla home.

And then of course a cold beer on tap and my favourite Chinese meal at Mondy's, Vada Pav and Misal, Maharashtrian meal at Aswad or another favourite Frankie, of course Sev & Pani Puri too.

The only disappointing meal was at Perch in Bandra, but the wine & Praful's company more than made up for it, with the night ending at The Den with some more friends.
Walking down Colaba Causeway, or Apollo Bunder, sitting at Wodehouse Gymkhana with it's really old world charm.

Thank you all for always making my Bombay trips fun, full of conversations & memories always 😍😍😍

This time was at in Lower Parel .... loved the Rice Lager on tap that they had, whatever we ate was delicious & especially loved the decor & vibe of the bar upstairs.

Bonus...got to meet in Bombay for a change 😁
And hang out with
After ages....looking forward to the new band's live performance soon!

I feel the most free & happy when in nature.
As someone who has always been active & loved the outdoors, getting into event planning was the most natural progression as it let me be mostly outdoors instead of on a desk indoors.

These last few days have been a little tough due to some personal issues but being outdoors has given me a lot of clarity too.

Also time to go through memory lane with old memories, like this one when I used to go hiking regularly. These pictures are of trek to Kothaligad or Peth Fort definitely brought a smile to my face.
And also the reminder that everything is surmountable if one has the focus, grit & passion!

So for the un-initiated, this is the email I sent to Indusind Bank today, after nearly 3 months of banging my head with their so called Customer Services. So if you ever want to open any for type relationship with this organization, do it at your own risk.
Also requesting anyone who may know someone senior in this Bank, to please connect me with them, or share this post with them.
I am also now going to complain to the Reserve bank of india Ombudsman

The issue is very simple:
I took a loan from them. In 2020 during lockdown I took a moratorium on the said loan. A few EMIs that I missed before this was done, I paid late fees, interest charges etc on them, as per messages sent by them. All transactions were TCS and not cheques as their emails claim now.

The last EMI according to their own Banking App was Feb 2024, after which I received no intimations form them about any pending amounts on said loan, and even now till date it shows no liabilities on my account on their own banking app. (Picture of the banking app screen attached)

Went to the Porvorim Branch end of February, where i have the account, to close it as I was very unhappy with their services.

They tell me 2 weeks later (after I called them to ask why the account was still not shut down), that they cannot shut the account, as the loan department shows pending payments, even after I showed them the banking app status.. They said they cannot do anything & I have to ask for a foreclosure letter. Obviously, their internal systems are not the best as you can see.
So had to email customer service to ask for a foreclosure letter, and that is when the fun starts. According to them, I have to pay cheque bouncing charges ( though everything was by TCS) for the period of 2020 ( when I had taken the moratorium) .
Even assuming this is right, why is it that post February 4th 2024 ( as that was my TCS EMI payment date every month) there was not 1 email, message or anything to let me know that this account is not closed, and has pending payments.

So quite feeling like I am being extorted by this bank, they are now affecting my credit score and not to mention asking for additional Rs: 4000 odd, to close this

With all the Mutual Fund ads especially screening now not just during the ICC T20 matches but also on my Instagram feed & then this popping up...thought it's just serendipity.

to a 3 city event across Delhi, Agra & Jaipur organized for AMFI for all the respective heads of AMFI equivalent heads from Asia & Australia/NZ....that too during my Birthday week was definitely a memorable event.
Had my wallet stolen at Kutub Minar...luckily the thief took the very little money from it amd threw the wallet so got my cards, driving license etc back within an hour, the ITC team in Agra surprised me with a Birthday cake. Meeting folks from lots of countries & invitations to visit them by a few, a team that was fab.
And definitely learnt a lot about Mutual Funds 😁

Had an impromptu catch up between the 2 surgeries for my cataract and after a lot of venue changes we finally ended up at the newly opened Masko Cafe in Porvorim.

1st things first, if you love Mutton then the Berry Pulao here you just have to absolutely have. It's just yummy!

They have an outdoor & indoor AC section, and quite a huge menu that also includes sizzlers, which also we tried and we're quite nice. The Chicken Skewers & Naachos were the other dishes that we enjoyed.

Some of the dishes they definitely need to work on, but overall we would go back here.

They also have KF beer on tap and some nice offers on them.
The owner & the team are always helpful.

Overall it's nice to have a nice place to go to in Porvorim that is pocket friendly, nice ambience, has good food choices, ample parking, and hopefully they will add more options to their hard liquor especially the Gin section 😁

On 1st March 2008 ( a Leap Year too) we were young, crazy, very much in love, full of energy, had a bunch of crazy peeps in our life who were crazy enuf to attend our wedding in the middle of the jungle in Dandeli ( thanks to the wonderful Teyjas & Chandy for the location as well as the JCB Earth Digger scoop for my Bridal Vehicle) & we were not wise at all. 😁

Now 16 years later (or 4 years if we count just Leap Years) we are a lot older, still quite crazy or maybe even crazier, still in love too, not so much full of energy, still have all those crazy bunch of peeps in our lives & are still none the wiser 😁

Thanks Vicky for sharing these pics & bringing back great memories 😍😍😍
Sorry if I didn't tag you all but Instagram limits those but you all are missed 😍

If you didn't visit the Festival over the weekend then you really missed out on some great art installations; wonderful live music & just a great overall fun vibe also filled with lots of good food & drinks.😍😍😍
Since I was having so much fun, forgot to take pictures & videos but luckily had Omkar take this one of me with the Human Statue...who I cheekily did try to distract but absolutely failed 😁

Was also really nice to meet some friends that I hadn't caught up with in a while. Watch some of my favourite artists that I haven't seen live in a while & for a change I could just enjoy the gigs instead of working on them.

Had some really good bites from and got to try a new beer from , if you like Strong Lagers, then definitely a good one to try. Another great find was the feni , really smooth and quite liked the casked flavours that came through.

Whilst pretty much everyone has been caught u with the celebrations of the new temple, I got time to catch up on some reading 😍

Over the last few weeks also managed to attend some nice book readings, discussions & meet the authors of the 3 books that are on my reading list.

The 1st one by called 'Becoming Goan' which I am about 80% through definitely is a great way to discover Goa of today & yesterday. Like her as a Goan who grew up in Bombay and visited only for summer vacations until we moved here for good 8 years back, a lot of the stories made me smile, especially similar as they were to me becoming Goan 😁
Discovering everyone having a secret (now I do too 😉) Feni supplier who they think is the best..
Thanks Michelle for the wonderful message to me in the book, I may not be doing all I can for Goa but hope that in my little way I am trying to preserve all the good bits about it, which definitely also includes being a Feni/Urak evangelist too!

The 2nd book by Harsh Mander about the Covid times called 'Burning Pyres, Mass Graves' I have just started reading and as someone who experinced 1st hand just in this tiny state of Goa the tragedies that unfolded, I am really glad that he has written this. These tragedies need to be recorded and though for a lot of us Covid is now a memory, it's really important that we don't forget.

The 3rd book is by called 'The Culinary Odyssey of Goa' is to be honest for me more interesting for the history & stories behind the food than the actual recipes. Anyone who knows me well knows that I like being fed by other chefs/cooks than me doing the cooking 😁
But the history of this little state's Culinary journey is really fascinating & interesting!

The 4th & final book is 'Angria: A Historical Odyssey ' by my friend which when we meet I am definitely looking to get it signed by you. Again as a history buff, this book I am really looking forward to read, Amazon has yet to deliver it.
As one of the finest, shrewdest & not as popularly known as Shivaji maybe. But as Shivaji's Naval Commander he definitely was one of the most skilled naval chief.

Had a Panjim Bar Hopping night, thanks to & coming into town for the Purple Fest last week.

Started off with the popular Feni drink Tamba at with of course now quite the celebrity 😁

Then a quick hop down the road, went to fill our stomachs at the newly opened
to indulge in some yummy Malayali food. We didn't know what to expect, but we pretty much ordered quite a bit off the menu, and the 5 of us polished everything from the Banana Fritters, to the Alleppey Chicken Curry to the Beef Ulgarth ( I'm not sure about the spelling) and so much more. And still had to taste the Rose Cookie along with copious amounts of more alcohol.

If you love Mallu food and are in Panjim, your should definitely not miss this cute eatery there, they are also everyday experimenting with new cocktails and we got lucky to try out the Gin Coffee one they had made. The service is really very homely, and if you sit in their balcony section outside, you can do some people watching too, or sit in their air-conditioned section if you just can't manage the heat.

Then to
for another quick drink & some dancing!

And of course ultimately ended up at for some Karaoke & lots more dancing 😁
With a final pose by our very own
before we all called it a night 😎

For a lot of my initial working years, due to being a junior meant that you worked on holidays, through your own birthdays etc etc.
Later as I got a little seniority, it meant that I could avoid being at an event, but still was on call if there was an emergency.
And that has meant a lot of times of party plans cancelled and being called to work.
Anyone who works in hospitality, tourism, events, hospitals, medical, cops, emergency services etc knows that working during important days is a given.

So for all of those who will be working tonight, tomorrow and otherwise work on all important days when everyone else is celebrating, here is a BIG SHOUT OUT to all of you........THANK YOU!!!

Wishing you all a Happy New Year and getting to enjoy those few special days, when we get to celebrate instead of working!

Also adding a cute pic of our dogs, coz they are amazing Stress Busters and will always bring a smile, however stressful a situation is :-)

It's really great interacting with youngsters, as they are so filled with exuberance, a passion for life and overall are more optimistic and less cynical compared to older folks.
They have an energy and zest for life, which should always be encouraged, and you just might learn a thing or 2 from them.
Which is why whenever asks me to come and give a small talk on Marketing to his students academy, I'm always game.
Of course getting a box of Macarons or Cake or getting to add lots of Rum & Brandy with the students to prep for the Christmas cake is an additional bonus.

Meeting my most favorite CA .ruben and finding out that he is a coffee expert & is doing a session on coffee with the students is a cherry & icing on the cake.

The 3 of us catching up & having a laugh afterwards is just Priceless 😍
