I started cooking at the young age of 10 not knowing at the time my love for food would intensify to become a passion and something that brings me complete joy. Over the years I have been inspired by many individuals ranging from my uncle who made Chile Colorado every visit to his home, to my best friend’s family, at the time, during my ranch/beach living days, that introduced me to the Japanese c
ulture and this list of inspiration could go on for as long as the Nile River. I have so many memories and stories in connection to food that I could probably write my very own cookbook but the ones who inspired me the most were my parents. My mom taught me the recipes your granny would cook, and my dad inspired the famous leftover meals. We would call that catch whatever you can in the refrigerator and make something happen, but it wouldn’t be a basic meal. It would be a meal that made you close your eyes and forget where you were for a second because the flavors would explode in your mouth like a firecracker. So, with that said, I am looking forward to making my stamp in the world and blessing the bellies of those in my community with delicious homemade food and sweets, that makes you rock and hum a little tune. I look forward to providing you with my servant’s heart, as food is my ministry.
