Had a little fun down in Unadilla, Georgia last week. Watched a
Watched CowboyKenny690 almost kill himselfnin a crosswind.
Listened to a bunch of .22’s and saw an immaculate fireworks display at the
Michael Mixon you are one crazy SOB. We had a blast and we were only 4 tenths of a point behind our rivals the Bad Rooster BBQ check collecting crew.

Shooooooweeee!
We have been struggling to stay in the pack with a slower season for us. We needed this weekend.

Currituck County Rural Center hosts the Currituck Bulls & BBQ contest every year at the nicest little campground you can find. It brings new season points chasers, BBQ nuts, Bull Rodeo fans and admirers of the beach alike. Amazing weather until the 45 mph gusts kicked in at 3am.

Autohogs!!!! We made the 180 list from the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational BBQ!!! It’s an incredible feeling, and being able to pull one at is a pinch me moment.

We made it back to the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational BBQ for our second trip to the Hollow!
2/3rds of the kids made the trip with us and we had an incredible time seeing both sides of the family in Lynchburg, with family from the surrounding three states paying us visits.

The cook is always a challenge when there’s 88 world champions competing in the same world championship, but we faired well.
With falling on to a lot of meh judges tables we were lucky to travel to our brisket table and get certified judges and fair scoring. The other tables were giving scores that didn’t reflect the table averages. 3 judges at a table giving perfect scores with 2 judges sinking you with average scores. No one got to the world championship with average scores. But this is BBQ. It’s all about that luck!! 🍀

Jason made an amazing Death By Chocolate in honor of the great Marcel Desaulniers, Jason is a part of his legacy…and the judges gave him a perfect score of 180, for 7th place.
As I say, in an ocean of cheesecakes, be a chocolate cake!

May the lord grace us with the luck we need to get back to next year for another shot at 1st place!!

This weekend I was solo at the Pigmasters Challenge

It’s been tough lately running the shop. Losing staff, losing customers while supporting the brand and moving around the country. Posting has been limited to avoid compounding that problem and I sincerely apologize to my incredibly committed sponsors.

I pulled a 9th in Chicken Springer Mountain Farms

My favorite time of the year to BBQ. The weather here in the foothills of North Carolina, this time of the year, is unbeatable.

This weekend is the first time in almost two years I’ve cooked completely by myself. I know it’ll work out, but I miss my teammates. But my BBQ family has kept me company and we’ve had some great laughs, and a few good meals. I also brought along Heath Riles BBQ products. Like A LOT of them. Like the weather here, they’re unbeatable. Keeping my Outlaw BBQ Smokers energized is that good charcoal from Jealous Devil.
Now to slay these Springer Mountain Farms thighs and wings, and this delicious Imperial Waygu Brisket from Mister Brisket, Inc. This is the last cook before the Jack Daniel's World Championship Invitational BBQ, gotta make it count.
