We have been working so hard on creating even better events and doing things a little differently so here we are 😉

✨ ALL solo competition days will consist of opportunities for dancers to QUALIFY for our Championship Day next June (it is not compulsory but will crown our Winner of Winners 👑)! ✨

And a big good luck to all dancers taking part in our Workshop Challenges with the amazing .jonesx 🔥 smash it guys - enjoy the extra training opportunity and give it to your all 😍

At Level Up Events we pride ourselves on running events that instil confidence in all dancers, from beginners to seasoned competitors and tonight whilst it’s a small and friendly competition, in a smaller venue, we cannot wait to applaud all the incredible talent that will be taking to the stage. Sometimes it’s not about the number of routines or how serious something is but instead about boiling it down to what we all love most: D A N C E 🙌

Dancers not participating in the Workshops will be permitted entry from 5:30pm onwards but please remember it’s a small venue and our Senior Workshop will be in full swing so keep this in mind in the Dressing Rooms 🤫

We are running a Junior (12 years and under) and a Senior (13 years+) COMMERCIAL workshop challenge this weekend at The Valley Theatre Childwall.

£8 per dancer (unless you’re part of our evening competition then it is £5 for you!) 💫💫

DON’T MISS IT 🔥

Taya Jones is a working Dancer & Choreographer. She has trained in all styles of dance since she was around 6 years old. Her favourite styles are: Commercial, Hip-Hop, Heels, Whacking and Voguing, Contemporary, and Jazz. Taya has appeared in many Main Stage MOVE IT performances for Jelli Theatre Arts and has been chosen as lead roles. She has also been to The Dance World Cup for 5 years coming home with many medals and 7 Champion Titles. Taya always loved to assist choreographers which is how she began to teach. Taya has been teaching now many years. Taya currently also works as a Primary School PE/ Gymnastics Teacher and she runs the choreography for the Liverpool Hope Uni Dance Society so overall, she is experienced teaching ages 2-24+. Taya teaches in various Dance Schools and Clubs creating Competition and Show routines as well as leading Open Classes. Taya is excited to see everyone at Level up Events 🖤💫

ADJUDICATOR FOR OUR EVENING OF GROUPS - RIKIE KELLY 🙌🙌

We’ve got a lot of FIERCE Commercial Groups joining us this weekend and there’s no better person than Rikie to adjudicate them 🔥👏

Rikie has been involved with Level Up Events previously and in our Dance School and we can honestly say we are honoured to have him back with us 💜🖤🤍

Training: Rare Studios (2012 - 2014)

Professional Credits include; Matthew Bourne - Lord Of The Flies, Her Benny The Musical, Backstreet Boys, Strictly Come Dancing India, Spice Girls Tribute Tour, Vivienne Westwood, London Mens Fashion Week, Blue Lagoon Village and brand such as PUMA & Ellesse. Rikie teaches regularly across North West in a variety of styles.

MAY FESTIVAL OVER AND OUT ✅

It was a long one today but so worth it as always 🥰 it was an absolute pleasure to host an event today with such incredible dancers taking part 👯‍♂️👯‍♂️ well done to each and every one of you - standard was phenomenal.

Our adjudicators were absolutely amazing so another big thank you to & 💜 big thank you to Andy on the music 🎵 and Tom on the door 🚪🤍.

Everyone meet our SECOND ADJUDICATOR for this Sunday’s Festival Day 😍✨ the fabulous Zoe Farrant. We’ve had the pleasure of seeing Zoe adjudicate at other events so we’re so excited to have her with us!

ℹ️ Zoe Farrent - L.I.S.T.D, BA, DipTCL
 
Zoe trained at Liverpool Theatre School, graduating in 2013 with distinction. She won various awards throughout her time there including The Norah Button award twice, Student of the Year in 1st and 2nd year and Graduate of the Year in her final year.  
Realising her passion for teaching, she then studied at the Guildford School of Acting in Surrey, graduating with a First Class Honours in Theatre. From there, she went on to study further dance teacher training with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance: most recently gaining her Licentiate qualification. She now teaches at pre-vocational and vocational level, including BTEC and diploma courses, at Liverpool Theatre School, Liverpool Central Studios and Northern Ballet School. She is also a lecturer for the UKDCC for their events around the UK.

Zoe is thrilled to be adjudicating today and cannot wait to see the talent on stage. Good luck to all dancers - enjoy every second of your performance. ℹ️

Everyone meet our FIRST ADJUDICATOR for this Sunday’s Festival Day 😍✨ the incredible Heather Roberts. We’ve had Heather adjudicate at many of our different events now because she’s AMAZING 🤩✨

ℹ️ Heather’s career spans over 30 years covering many aspects of the entertainment industry at home and internationally and she worked within the cruise entertainment industry during the height its growth. She developed invaluable skills and expertise during her tenure with the industry’s leading entertainment team at Royal Caribbean Productions becoming one of their resident directors, responsible for maintaining the integrity of many of their shows.
Heather teaches on the Professional Musical Theatre, Professional Dance and BTEC courses at Liverpool Central Studios and enjoys collaborating with the singing and acting department for integrated projects. More recently Heather launched her own talent agency based in Liverpool with the intention of bringing local talent to the global stage using her wealth of experience and understanding of the industry. ℹ️

🔥 COMMERCIAL WORKSHOP CHALLENGE 🔥 … an exciting addition to our Level Up Group Competition days is our workshop challenge which is being led by the sensational JACK LINSNER 🙌🙌 in this brand new section, dancers will learn choreography, perform it in groups giving us EVERYTHING they’ve got 💪 .. which three dancers will be awarded 👀🏆🙌

ℹ️ Jack has been dancing since the age of 10 and continued on to train professionally at Rare Studio Liverpool when leaving school. Since his training, Jack has gone on to work professionally working with people such as Nile Rogers & Chic, Stooshe, and Will Young to name a few. Jack has also worked for the BBC at their worldwide showcase and has recently been involved in a new tv-series called ‘Sexy Beast’. Alongside all of this Jack has been teaching in many dance schools/colleges since graduating and can’t wait to see the talent at our Level Up Event 🖤…
