What an amazing beginning to the ! It was so nice to see product from Canadian flower farmers, have fabulous cocktails and catch up with colleagues such as and meet new connections. Lot of flower power in the room. What we love about flowers is that they don’t discriminate! Flowers don’t care who you love, your pronouns, your ethnicity, who you worship or what gender you go by or even if you go by no gender. Flowers create beauty in such an ugly world!

I usually don’t post personal things on IG but last month I lost my labradoodle Brandy to a brain tumor. She was my joy, the daughter I never had and the ultimate boss babe who would chase me around the house sheep herding me. She was feisty and a sassy diva. Just like her human! 🤣 my nickname for her was girlfriend because she walked and barked with authority and knew she was the HBIC in the neighborhood! 👑🐾❤️

My husband commissioned to surprise me with this wonder painting of my girlfriend. He named it “The Florist’s Daughter”. Thank you my friend! Love you and your talent! 😘💜

Spring is here and it’s time to work on the garden boxes and get ready for the dahlias. While pulling the over grown mint. Hahahahha! This anemone from bulbs planted two years ago decided to say “I’m here”! Gardening is so therapeutic. Tilling the soil is in our blood. Worms providing nutrients for the plants. We love gardening because no matter is going on in the world, growing flowers and plants keep things in perspective. 💐👩🏽‍🌾❤️🌸🌷🌻

Thank goodness the storms have finally cleared out here in California! We were going through last year’s wedding/event photos and found this photo taken by .photo. Earlier in the day there was a massive storm that blew through and it was a rough set up for all the creative partners. However, the wedding went off without a hitch and the guests partied on into the night! Don’t you know rain is good luck on wedding days?

Got up before the chickens and way before I ever get up to go the flower mart! 😂 Traveled over 500 miles to get to San Diego, braved the flooding highways and streets (I’m safe y’all) to attend .floristry and floral workshop and have been blown away how my wheelhouse has expanded just over an eight hour period! I know a lot of floral designers say that education is important that they know it all. That’s crap in my opinion. You never stop learning. Even and .floristry learned how to make haikus from one of the workshop attendees!

So blessed to have the opportunity to partake in this workshop and I have met fabulous floral designers from as far as Hawaii and Connecticut, and everywhere in between.
