I wanted to get this back as quickly as possible so it’s still just in navy blue for now, but I loved all your suggestions for new colors and am working on some new options for next year! A very big announcement!!

I’m so thrilled to announce that for the first time ever, we’re now offering a more affordable corset option in our sh0p! I know SO MANY of you have always aspired to own a French Meadows corset, but the pr1ce has been a big obstacle for you. I’ve been working closely with a manufacturer to create a corset that still has all the same quality and attention to detail you’ve come to expect from us, but with a pr1ce tag you can afford. Plus, it’s also got some pretty cool new features that make it a more versatile garment overall!

It’s got adjustable front AND back lacing, so it’s easier than ever to get a precise fit that can fluctuate with your body. The straps are REMOVABLE, so you can transform from a tavern w***h to a proper princess with a flick of your wrist (or...tying of a ribbon). Lastly, I’ve EXPANDED SIZING to offer more plus size options, so no one is left out!

Since French Meadows has always handmade our corsets in house, I’ve been nervous/excited to share this with you, as this is a different direction than what I’ve offered in the past. In manufacturing this corset, I’ve made sure to uphold the same standards of sustainability and eco-responsibility as our in-house corsets. I’ve worked closely with our manufacturers to ensure the hands that made these were treated well, paid fairly, and provided safe working conditions. For those who can afford and prefer our made in USA corsets, we will continue to offer these! But I’m hoping for the rest of you, that this more inclusive option excites you as much as it does mine 🐝

I planned to post photos of this dress today but they all sold out yesterday before I could do a photo post 😣 I didn’t know how to gauge demand for these dresses and only had enough time/fabric to make 10 of these before the holiday season, so that’s why supply was really limited.

I’m genuinely curious though— would you like to see this dress come back in the future? If there’s enough demand I would definitely like to bring it back! You can let me know by visiting my l1nk in b10 for this dress and submitting a “back in stock request” on the webs1te! This will help me figure out how much demand there is for this :)

I’m also excited to announce that I’ve taken some more concrete steps towards building up my patréon! I’m continuing to develop what each tier of the subscription will involve, so your feedback would be helpful! Happy Spooky Season! Have you seen the back-lacing underbust corset style? This is the only fabric I advertise this corset in in my shop, but I can make it in any of the other fabrics I offer! I love this style for more of a tavern w***h vibe. It's also perfect for bustier folks who don't want to enhance what they've already been well endowed with, or for folks that want to go for a less buxom vibe in general 🍒

The most unique wedding dresses are worn by elves 🧝🏼‍♀️ The Elven Queen Renaissance gown is my favorite combination of colors, and all of the parts of this gown are completely interchangeable and mix-and-matchable. I've had a few brides order this gown or a variation of it for their Renaissance themed weddings, and it puts a smile on my face to know the world is becoming for elven every day 💫

How breathtaking is in these tabbed tudor stays? This Black and Gold Jacquard fabric is another from my classic collection. It's one of those fabrics that is so perfectly Renaissance and never goes out of style. The tudor stays also have more boning than any other corset I offer, so they provide maximum bust support!

This burgundy corduroy fabric is an oldie but goodie in my shop, and one of my favorite fall classics that transitions easily into the holiday season. It's 100% cotton and so so soft, plus the thickness and durability of the corduroy adds another layer of strength to the corset that makes wearing this like a warm hug 🤗

I know just about everyone on here is ready for Autumn, but I don't think I am 🙈 I need more days like the one spent with in this field of lavender: warm evening sun on my skin, the smell of honey emanating from the beehive in my backyard, and luscious fields of lavender that, unlike summer, never seem to end.

Epi is wearing the yellow and ivory floral 18th century stays with our yellow linen skirt and short sleeve linen chemise. Those these pieces look very summery all together, I think each one is also a great piece for transitioning into Autumn, whether you're doing it begrudgingly or not 🙃

The last look from my Rococo collection! This is another more simple look (in that it's not a full on gown) but with all the same elegance (I think!) of the other pieces in this collection. I have used these pieces for so many different looks: my hobbit wedding gown, my OFMD Stede Bonnet Gentleman Pirate 🏴‍☠️, and I've got plans to use it again for an elf archeress look! I love how versatile it is and all the different aesthetics it works for. What can you see this fabric being used for?

Another Rococo inspired gown, this time made from my favorite Rosey Ivory Floral fabric :) While this is a more simple gown, all of the pieces are completely interchangeable! I'm definitely planning on mixing and matching these pieces into some other looks in the future. The polonaise skirt is also adjustable, so you can wear it down for a more sleek look, or bustle it up for some of that rococo b***y 🍑

Do you know how I came up with the name French Meadows? I was researching inspiration for a new fashion collection for a school project, and I fell in love with pastoral paintings of corseted women tending their fields in the french countryside: Expansive fields of wheat and lavender and flowers, and these picturesque women with their skirts tucked up into their bodices, using the apron folds of their skirts to collect their harvest. This inspiration later became the foundation of the feeling I want French Meadows to capture.

It was a lovely day taking these photos with my dear friends and , who braved the bees and the staring strangers to help me capture these moments 🐝

Another style of the new Italian Gown, this time in the most rococo fabric of all 😍 from the moment I first acquired this fabric, I knew it was destined for something like this. This was my very first attempt at making a gown like this, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results! It’s got everything from lace engageantes, a very rococo rosette trim, and frilly ruffles galore. 🧁🍰🍭

I often get asked how I started French Meadows, and the truth is, well… sort of by accident! It all started with this 14 piece collection I designed for my senior thesis project. Wait for the end to see a French Meadows wedding dress ✨

Behind the scenes of me making my blue taffeta bustle skirt 💙 A lot of you may not know this, but I worked in bridal for several years before (and while) starting French Meadows. While working with bridezillas and stabbing my fingers with needles 100x a day was not exactly my favorite thing, I learned so many valuable skills (like bustling the skirts on HUNDREDSSS of wedding gowns 🥵) that have helped bring me to where I am today. If you feel like you’re at the bottom of where you want to be in your career, or skill set, or any progress you want to make in life, just remember that every season in life is just as important as the one that comes after it. Dream big, set goals, work at them one step at a time, and when you look back years later you may be surprised just how far you’ve come!
